Wow - amazing story and life lessons. More grace, Anthony! One of the ways I maintained my healing following a bike accident was rest. I needed to allow time for the scars to heal and pain to subside. Eventually, I resumed bike-riding to conquer the growing fear and strengthen the arm - although much later after some weeks of recovery. Oh for wisdom to discern the right time to re-engage🙏

I can definitely hold my self more accountable for being the man that God has called me to be in my marriage, and to give her the attention she deserves and desires. I can get into the word that God has given me daily and pray to my Lord daily in order to be healed with what I'm struggling on the inside.

God is sooo awesome!!! Just today I encountered a family member from my past that is tied to past abuse and pain. And that person continually tries to bully me into moving boundaries that keep toxic family members at arm's length. While I have forgiven them, I have learned that forgiveness does not equal reconciliation -not when people are toxic and abusive. And just now God used you and this video to minister to me, comforting me that yes, I AM RESPONSIBLE for my healing, and that I am to be responsible to not put myself in harmful places again. Thank you soo much for answering God's call on your life, including following His prompting to post this video. So grateful!

I love your Ministry Anthony. You are so transparent and your authenticity comes through each time I hear you sing or speak. My fave song was trust in me now. I listened to that for several weeks then as I began to listen to the other songs, I no longer have a fave. I love them all because they all touched me or brought me to a place that I needed to be. Blessings Man of God.

How can really be responsible in our lives? Well for me personally I can practice my music more for school. And recently I realized that I need to make more time for God because I can see my life changing in the negative. I believe there is a direct corralation to a life being or not being filled with the word of God and the spirit of God. To build a relationship it takes TIME.

Thank you for this reminder of yours to be mindful of our healing & protect what God has done for us in our personal, unique times of need...then I'm led by the phraseology of what I just said to remember & give thanks for what "Jesus has already done for us." I keep sacred the Word of God -available to everyone - but I haven't thought about keeping the things that God has said to or done for me - & just me, the personal encounters of healing or guidance, solicited or not - sacred! Bless you...

I've never had a problem with being a doer of the word. I have the Holy Spirit. He leads and guides into all truth and all knowledge. God spoke these words to me years ago Healing is my responsibility And health is yours I wasn't a vegetarian then I started eating less sweets And stop eating any salt on my food God didn't tell you whenever he said what he said I'm the holiest And I'm for you and your family And would be committed to you like I am to the lord

Thanks so much for this blog. It seems the older I get the more Responsible I've become. Thanks for sharing your story. I must admit that there has been times when Responsibility got tough, butit was only because I was trying to be Superwoman & not "Let go" & "Let God". With tears literally flowing down my cheeks I give God all the honor and Glory for trusting me with more. That shows me that I've been doing my part, keeping him First.

Sometimes its hard not to think of the past and do the same things over again, but theres a reason its called a past....easier to say then do, but think: why not just sit back and let God do, what he does best? Our Holy Father and savior. When he tells us what not to do anymore, what to avoid, and picks us right back up when we fall on our faces then why go back and trip our selves into the same hole again? He LOVES us and KNOWS BEST! Let's dust ourselves off and follow his helping hand into a brighter path he created for us to have. he might let you bend, but he will never let you break...

Awesome. For me personally God had to take me out my prideful spirit. In order to be responsible we must continue to seek Him. It was hard for me to recognize that I was and it took people around me to see that. So I am so thankful for we are called to love and I can not necessarily do that if I'm prideful. How can I expect to encourage others when I couldn't humble myself? But God :) its my responsibility to know that I can not do everything on my own but through Him I can do all things.

Okay. I haven't reopen my old wounds, I promise you that I didn't. But figuratively speaking, I've always been "Queen Esther" and on today well I decided to listen in on your dad telling the story and he knows it's one of my favorites and I take it personally. It's my story. So, I respond by commenting that I am Queen Esther but immediately, he erased it. And to keep an old wound closed I had immediately forgave him and my aunt because she's part of the reason why he showed me hate instead of kindness. I'm sorry if I caused any grief, I guess the two of them hates me because they see that I am happy and that I am not grieving and all torn apart and sad like I was just a few weeks ago. But Anthony Evans you found me and GOD used you to rescue me and your love for me has healed me. Anthony I will always love your dad as "a friend a father sort-a-speak." And nothing more than that. And In the beginning I was on the wrong path looking to be loved the way he had previously promised me but I realize recently that it was your love that rescued me, it was your Love that I needed and not your father's. So, my aunt did me a favor. I'm better off in a place of Peace, Love and Joy.

ok... so... I too have been healed... of a very broken heart just a few years ago. When I say "healed" I mean, I am able to reflect upon the experience, feel remnants of the emotion that was shared without reliving the agony that I endured. It was a hopeless situation from day one; still, my heart was so desperate to be loved... Recently, I went through a devastating "church hurt" that ultimately led me to leave my residence of 18 years and move back home. Here, I embraced a longtime friend and allowed my heart to find comfort where it probably should not have. I'm still trying to figure that out. What I do know is that God has brought me through some life-changing experiences. I can choose to accept and be responsible with the healing He has provided, or I can recklessly open my heart in ways that could divert me from the path towards my destiny. Aint nobody got time for that! Get it together, chick! Don't take God's healing for granted. Be responsible and guard your heart, for out of it spring the issues of life.

Great analogy, thank you, Anthony! I am going to use this with my two pre-teens in teaching them that responsibility and stewardship also applies to their faith and to not abuse it or take it for granted as "spriritual insurance." Doing so will "jack you up" to use your terminology. LOL.

I know you probably won’t respond to this old post, but I just wondered what exactly happened to your wrist? because years & years ago when I was 13 I did this gymnastics like hand stand in my kitchen one day and something happened to my right wrist where I can’t even bend it to play basketball anymore 😩 . It’s like it’s stuck . I’m 32 now and it doesn’t effect me too much like playing the piano or anything, except when I try swishing a basketball I just can’t 😞. I just wondered if that’s why you had to get surgery done?because of an injury like mine? I may need the same surgery as you. On another note, I loved this analogy and always appreciate hearing them as always 😌.
