So inspirational… I’m 48 & been skating for 39 years. Lost vision in my left eye 3 years ago and I’ve barely skated since. Took a year to have a couple surgeries & accept this is what ive got. Really bad depth perception and I haven’t really skated in last 2 years because of it, and covid, moving…basic life shit but now I really need to get back it and give it one more shot ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I worked with visually impaired people and it's pretty funny how they make you feel dumb and clumsy. Really took some time for me to get used to certain things: like screaming "Watch out!" doesn't help because they don't know what place to go. They also need your help a lot less than you think

Is there software that describes what’s happening on a video? Always curious if KZbin is just used as audio for blind people or if there’s some kind of plug in that can give you some insight

I am a 38 year old skateboarder /construction worker , I have always had a rad idea on how to build a ramp for the blind , one where they know exactly where they are at all times , if our local parks had this it could open up a whole other world to other aspiring kids who are also visually impaired, but still be a fun ramp for everyone to ride ,, one day we will see something like it , if it’s not out there already , soo inspired by these guys , not just because of their skateboarding , as a bjj player I bet that dude could woop some serious ass on the mats

Its interesting to watch tony still talk to them w/o using their name, like they can see who he is looking at when speaking. I totally get that's its easy to forget about, but then I think in a group setting how would either guy know who tony is talking too?

other senses are heightened above the average sighted person so in most cases they can tell where the audio waves are pointed. Close your eyes and have a friend talk to you, then turn his head and talk to the person next to you. Humans hear in 3 dimensions with depth, width, and height; audio vibrations and waves and frequency is fascinating (to me at least)
