Will Smith over the years has shown behaviours of NPD... and Jada, a vulnerable narcissist. Although admittedly I'm not aware whether they have been officially diagnosed. That's why he's being helped by experts like Dr. Ramani and Esther Perel. These two people are two of the best experts in Narcissism. Did you not know that they had illicited Dr. Ramanis help? What the old Aunt Viv said about Will was actually the truth. I hope he can heal as I love his work and think he's done a lot of good. The fact that they are trying is at least better than most. Love Dr. Ramani. She's spot on and isn't afraid to talk about it, name it and describe it. Unless someone attacked or threatened me with bodily harm my very stand-up husband would support me emotionally and know that I can handle a silly comment (from a comedian, no less). Real men don’t get into a slug fest over a few careless (not malicious) words. Smith walked up there all on his own. Nobody “made him” assault Chris Rock, then further soil an otherwise lovely event with shouted expletives. And Will Smith is clapping and thinks Sir Anthony Hopkins is congratulating his behavior. Hopkins knew Richard Burton, so knows what would happen to Will Smith tried that shit on him.

Richard Burton brings up an interesting scenario: What happens if Burton and Elizabeth Taylor were front row at the Oscars and Chris Rock makes a fat joke about her?

One would have to be drunk to go on a stage in front of the audience and the world and lower themself to being a thug. Sure everyone has bad days, but this was his night. The last thing you want to do is stain it by losing your temper. And his wife should’ve had more fortitude and not let the audience or Will see her reaction to Chris’ joke. Chris was roasting everyone that night. Everyone else understood Chris wasn’t attacking people out of hate. Even Will laughed at the joke because he knew that too. But Jada…her focus should’ve been to maintain her composure and support Will, and after the show was over, she could’ve spoke to Will about how she felt about Chris teasing her. At least the drama would have happened off screen and the talk wouldn’t have been about the slap the whole week after.

Come to think of it, he could have been drunk for real or a lil bit tipsy? That never crossed my mind.

I believe he actually thought he was still in character as King Richard. And also tipsy because he laughed himself. And Jada is a lost cause for the faces she made.

And if he'd been the man of that household, he would've said "baby it's not that serious. But if you want, i'll speak to him later. Ok. THAT'S taking the lead.

Getting burned by Anthony Hopkins was an honor Will didn’t deserve. The camera shots of Will should have been minimized after the incident to a ‘ONLY IF WE NEED TO’ basis. The whole thing was awkward for everyone…

Cameras had to show Will, cause they were waiting for him to get up and slap Hopkins. Obviously he has no idea what’s an insult, a joke or a complement. This time he thought it was a complement when really he should have got up and slap him

@@10gstreet lol. I’d hate to say this, but there’s no reality where will smith would have slapped Anthony Hopkins and had anything left of an existence after. Sad to say that there’s no way that shit would have flown, for clearly colored & obvious reasons. (Just picture it)

@@amjnyc79 you are right he would be utterly and completely finished if he had slapped Anthony Hopkins, the man is almost universally loved, hes in his 80s so he would be hitting an elderly man and finally he didn't say anything that could in any way be used to justify being assaulted (not that chris did either but in this case there would be absolutely no grey area). Assulting a beloved elderly legendary actor at the academy awards the year after he had just won his second best actor award and received a standing ovation no chance he would ever have a career left.

@Go Home Roger in a blink of an eye, or should we say in a roll of an eye by Jada.... Will lost everything he worked so hard for. He will never be able to get to that same level again. He might be able to get some minor parts but never be the star. He is forever on the D list of actors.
