50m was on the table. The reason it was declined was due to A side and B side terms. It’s not ALL about money. It’s where the fight is held etc Wilders team thought giving 50m would make him the A side etc but at that time Joshua was doing the numbers in ppv so what their side offered, terms of venue etc would’ve been the go because AJ and their team were selling out the O2 consistently. Wilder wasn’t doing diddly squat back then. He was also fighting bums until he fought Tyson. So both guys are correct. No one ducked. It’s business. Next day finkel send the contract guaranteeing AJ 50mil. IFL asks AJ about the 50mil contract specifically. AJ says he's not talking about it anymore. AJ never wanted the fight. Hearn didn't either. They were terrified. All the belts and the biggest offer he could get and RAN from it. Winds up losing to ruiz and usyk twice for much less. Wilder wanted it. Joshua didn't. Simple as that. What kept that fight from happening was 100% Joshua/Hearn.
