People forget that the heavyweight division was shit until AJ come on the scene and he absolutely brought all the British eyes back, it's thanks to him that heavyweight boxing is thriving as much as it is. People's memories are short!

you know, one thing AJ has alway done perfectly is play poker face to the cameras, its really hard to read him. One thing that Derek James did mention was that AJ is quite a thinker in the ring. It kind of seems like the cerebral part of being a boxer and it being there as second nature vs having to switch it on in the ring was very much a big part in AJ's 2 losses to Usyk. Its like he relied on his corner for instruction and the game plan so much that he didn't have a natural instinct or IQ himself that he could generate when plan A, B,C stopped working and then eventually got out boxed. As stupid and terrible as it sounds and of course I have very little knowledge in reality to all these trainers etc, but its almost like he just needs to start being vicious - like stop thinking, stop playing chess, just go in from the first bell and throw caution to the wind in a way that his gas tank can support him.

Yes you're correct. It's such a shame he made some racist comments, and a BLM speech, and then showed us he was actually more interested in money, fame, and being a social media attention seeker. Thankfully Tyson Fury came along and showed what a real English fighting man is all about.

If AJ puts that weight back on I feel like he could be in trouble now or soon. Against Usyk he had a meltdown about his size etc, but what he does not understand is he was in GREAT shape, but tried to fight Usyk fight! AJ was springy on his toes, but did not box smart. Usyk orchestrated proceedings making AJ work harder than he's ever worked before. Usyk feinting, unorthodox movement, being in the pocket and throwing combinations alongside being a southpaw were factors that lead to AJ eventually succumbing to his demise. If you take that AJ in a physical sense and put him against every other HW apart from Fury, I think he's physically too MUCH! The only issue is his MENTAL state and this is where I feel could be the decider on him rehabilitating and improving as a fighter. If he bulks up, which he looks heavy atm, I believe this could be a problem because it must mean he's going for the KO. There is no way a bigger AJ can go in there and box for 12 rounds efficiently with all that WEIGHT. However, I know there's time before April the 1st, but I thought he was on this journey on knowing what's best for his body etc and it looks like he's lost discipline after losing to Usyk in keeping the weight down post fights!

@Drink Water I remember commentary about him achieving the 4 time and that he'd surpassed Muhammed Ali with the 3. I wanted to get it right so here's part of the wiki entry: 'Holyfield is the only four-time world heavyweight champion, having held the unified WBA, WBC, and IBF titles from 1990 to 1992, the WBA and IBF titles again from 1993 to 1994, the WBA title a third time from 1996 to 1999; the IBF title a third time from 1997 to 1999 and the WBA title for a fourth time from 2000 to 2001.' Not bad at all and it's got me wondering how many have reached 3 time status. I'll have to get googling on that one but the 3 time club is pretty exclusive I'm sure. Edit: Ok, hopefully the source is correct but it's a club of four: Muhammad Ali, Lennox Lewis, Vitali Klitschko and Evander Holyfield (who, himself, achieved 4 time).

Don’t get me wrong AJ is a good boxer but a very poor champion! Back to fighting easy fighters just to make quick money not last long, put him in with wilder and we will see him crumble under pressure yet again

Too much narrative and explanation of his business plans, just fight mate, reminds me of Audley Harrison from business perspective. Too controlling, this detracts from his focus on the fights. He has been like this for years.

Watch the press conference. AJ told that he focused too much on business and building an empire so he's now going to take a seat back and strictly do boxing.
