That punch wasn't a haymaker, dubois used quick skipping footwork to get in position to deliver that punch. AJ thought he was out of range and got the shock of his life, he totally underestimated the closing speed of dubois. AJ also had slow hand speed and was constantly beaten to the punch, AJ also stood straight up and lacked mobility, AJ throws his right hand and is totally off balance, instead of ducking out or side stepping dubois he stands straight back up to dubois waiting right hand, that's how you get nailed and AJ simply did not defend or couldn't deal with the pressure being applied to him. This wasn't the case of an unlucky fight, AJ was humiliated and made to look like an amateur, him fighting on is a joke he is definitely done at the top level of boxing, he certainly won't win a title again. The only thing left is to go for more money fights and hope for a slower tempo fight.

Well done Daniel Dubois! AJ hasn't got the will anymore and if AJ looses a rematch fight it will justify the calls for him to retire after this defeat, crush his name to five defeats of which two were rematches he lost and he will then be condemned to retire rather than making a dignified and sensible choice now to to retire.
@tylermoore4429Ай бұрын
Trainers seem to think all that is going on is strategy and gameplans. They fail to acknowledge age, conditoning, mood, confidence, health on the day of the fight, and many other underlying factors. Forget about the gameplan, can the fighter implement the basics? If the trainer has to re-teach the basics from the corner, the fight is a lost cause. It's not your night. As the fighter ages, there are more off-nights.
