Why (a) Dubois would want a rematch, (b) the IBF would sanction an immediate rematch when they essentially forced Usyk's hand for doing the same thing, and (c) anyone thinks the outcome of a rematch would be any different than the first bout? I cannot grasp. Dubois next huge payday is against Tyson Fury, regardless of the outcome of the return bout against Usyk.

I've been an AJ fan from beginning but if they do rematch I would like DDD to win again and let me explain why. AJ has only got a couple of fights left at most wheras DDD has a good few years left to rule the roost! I do like that he’d be happy to go into the rematch, and talks respectfully about the man he’s defeated. He did a great job in that fight even though most tipped against him including myself, although I thought it would be close. In the end it wasn’t close!

@@PST101 Im not necessarily disagreeing with AJ getting a rematch. I respect the hustle. It’s a tough business good luck to any fighter trying to make a living out of it. My point of contention was more from a traditional point of view (not necessarily the business side) When you lose a champions league final is there an instant rematch? When you lose a World Cup final is there an instant rematch? When you lose a grand slam final is there an instant rematch? Etc etc. I can understand that the examples above are team sports rather then individual sports. However I do believe that there should be some form of ‘fighting your way back’ to title rather then instant rematches. As you said boxing is a business as well, so the fights will be made where the money will be.

In football can a team have 3 matches a year or less? Come on - its not the same. Actually the rematch is very traditional in boxing - you're acting like it's some new thing. I can't wait for round 2. The first fight was truly amazing. I was so impressed with Daniel proformance i can tell he has worked on his defence. Before and after every attack his hands were up protecting his face. YES Daniel Dubois keep that up. If he carries on sharpening the defensive side of his game. I feel sorry for other fighters because he's attack needs no work the man is ruthless in attack. He has a strong jab and he throws heavy combination that can get any fighter out of there.
