Thank you for mentioning that in the first Ruiz fight, Joshua was preparing for Baby Miller who was on PED. Ruiz was a late replacement. He did not have enough time to adjust his training for his new opponent. In-between Baby Miller being banned and him fighting Ruiz, there were negociations with Ortiz, White, Micheal Hunter. People tend to forget all that

Thanks! Exactly why I mentioned it!

Wouldn’t make excuses for AJ. (Even if your a mega fan) AJ clearly got beaten by the better man on the night in that fight. We could clearly see in the rematch that even with the extra weight Ruiz put on and his lack of training AJ had to keep his distance and use his reach to keep away from trading With Ruiz. In range, Ruiz was clearly better (even in the second fight) and proved this by getting the better of him in the exchanges. AJ simply boxed on the outside using his reach to negate any attempt Ruiz made on trading punches. So I give AJ credit for that! But there’s not hidden reason why Ruiz won the first fight, just was and IS the better “fighter,” just lacks the reach and fitness.

@@jazznotes3802 That's YOUR point of view which is only your opinion. And seeing your angle, calling me an AJ fan (coming short of saying a fan boy) I don't HAVE to accept your opinion. Giving the history before that fight is not making an excuse. Besides, AJ himself made none on the night or since, and you have to give him credit for that. Preparing for a specific fighter is different and saying Ruiz is the better fighter on the inside is not saying much at all. It's obvious and it's ok. Liston and Frasier were better inside fighters than Ali, but Ali was the better fighter overall. Boxing on the outside is also a type of boxing. If you can win keeping your oponent at bay, then it's good. Some can't pull it off. That's why it's called the sweet science. Sometimes people's feelings towards a fighter are bigger than their judgement. Had he been an american heavyweight the narrative would have been different. We know who you are and we know what time it is

I think we're just used to seeing HW boxers with flabbier physiques, relying on their heft to take on other heavy-set opponents. AJ and Klitschko both set the bar for what a well-rounded athlete could look like. Not to mention that they're both exceptional boxers. Also, genetics seems to play a big part in how both fighters look. If it had been purely weightlifting or some form of PED, then how come the Klitschko brothers have such similar builds? Because they're brothers and share the same genetics makeup that could easily make them look like bodybuilders as well. In short, AJ is tall, strong, and not excessively fat, so that immediately marks him as an outlier compared to other heavyweights like Ortiz

Usyks fight redeem is to pressure his opponent in a varied fashion probing for attacks from them with a game plan to exhaust them enough for later rounds. I wonder what else helps him recover from his training routine 😂 you missed the extra curriculum "supplements", reaching fringe Olympic level myself and being around Elite level athletes, nobody can train like this, recovery would be impossible, unless they had some exogenous aid. People will watch this unfortunately thinking they should train this way, they will only end up burnt out and injured.
@BoxingLife3 жыл бұрын
As I mentioned in the video, Joshua is a full time athlete and there is no way you can fit this into your routine. Unless you are at the highest level. However that doesn't mean people can’t try out you some of the methods Joshua does e.g. strength and conditioning exercises. I agree I didn't go into much detail in terms of supplements usage but I did show it in the nutrition table. But this video was more about breaking down what Joshua does, not so much how an individuals should be training.
