Amazing to know that we may have never seen Anthony as the lead in Rent if it wasn’t for this song. He probably would’ve gotten the gig no matter what he sang at his audition, but for whatever reason this song is so perfect for him. And as we know, Jonathan was a fan of Dazed and Confused, so he already liked Anthony before his audition even started. Regardless, this song does a great job showing Anthony’s range, the emotion he brings to singing/performing, and how absurdly good he is at hitting every note perfectly.
