He should have stayed another year

He's definitely a 1st round talent, and he's definitely more polished than Malik Willis was coming out of college. MW defaulted to leaving the pocket when his first read was covered. Richardson steps up or sidesteps in the pocket, and uses his legs as a last option. Totally different mental approach the position. Also, he's 4 inches taller than Willis as well.

His legs shouldn't be the ladt option like that tho. I watched every game he did not use his legs anywhere near enough scrambling, keeping and faking it to the rb, or on designed runs. He just didn't have a good feel for the game But this was his first year playing so i imagine he has a lot to learn.

Short answer yes. yes he is worth it. It’s not like he doesn’t have any good games on tape, he can be accurate, he can be efficient, he just needs time to become consistent. He has really good games and he has really bad games, but more times than not he is able to do his thing. We all need to consider that he only had one full year to master his issues. If he can get the time and reps, he can be one of the biggest steals and most dominant players we’ve ever seen, especially considering he has no ceiling, he can do everything, just needs to do it consistently. Hopefully he goes to a place like Minnesota, sit behind a consistent edge fan QB, so he can learn correct his issues and balance his game, becoming a consistent QB and utilize his athletic talent to become the Ultimate X-Factor, like Josh Allen was able to do for the Bills and Patrick Mahomes for the Chiefs(even though they had different situations than him).

Mighty optimistic he's a project who cant even be played year one sure he can get better yet runners like Lamar, Fields and Kyler were way better cerebral QBs comming out of college. QB is the hardest position about half of all 1st round QBs are busts possibly even lower if they sit first, it'll be a good story tho.

He had more tackles than touchdowns people just see his frame and think he’s talented there’s no reason to waste a top ten pick on a guy you’ll just have to convert to special teams

Rick Spielman has never successfully drafted or been a part of drafting a starting QB in all his years from scout till GM. The duds, bums, frauds and bodybuilders he’s drafted make him entirely unqualified to speak on drafting a QB.

If you take away the title and listen to the description of the player, it sounds like they're talking about Zach Wilson. I compared Zach's and Anthony's college highlight tapes, I thought Zach looked better. For the record, I like Zach but feels he's been mishandled/developed. If you feel 1st round picks need to produce immediately, then he's not the one. If you feel you should draft based on talent and potential, then he's worth it.

I agree. I think hes a guy you want sitting for a year atleast. Maybe a package or two for him, but I think hes really raw to start day 1, especially on what could be an iffy roster if hes drafted early.

I’m not against Seattle signing Geno for two years then taking Richardson and letting him learn from Geno. That is if Carter is not there. Seattles pick is a free roll after all and they won’t be this high again for a long while.

He’s talented as heck. Idk about “polarizing” I’d say he’s a unrefined. He’s def not a 1 round QB. He struggled as a gator. Poor defection making. Wish he came back 1 more year to develop more. Seattle would be great for him to sit and learn under Geno. But not a 1st round and I wouldn’t take him second but I can see it happening.

I know this won’t happen, but as a Cowboys fan I would love to trade up and grab this kid. I don’t think Dak has it, so let this kid sit behind him and develop, tell Dak to go earn a new contract for when he fits Free Agency, and roll with that.

Problem with Richardson is how inconsistent he is I have seen him look like the best QB coming out to being a guy who doesn’t deserve to be drafted. He has looked absolutely clueless at times. I wouldn’t draft him in the 1st round if he fell I could be interested. For me the most important skill for a QB is ability to read, make a decision quickly and react. I could see a team like the Rams try to target him. Richardson will need a QB guru
@noland7827
@noland7827 2 жыл бұрын
I think the Giants take a shot on him tbh. They have former Bills staff who helped out Josh Allen previously. Also they can up Daniel Jones another year, which idk I think he's done enough to deserve one more year there. So AR can develop until he's ready in year 2.

Richardson is extreme both the best and worst QB in the draft. What’s crazy is it’s not play to play, but game to game. He seems to be able put it together for 1 game, but not 2 straight games.

@@noland7827 Only issue with that, is the Giants have to make a decision on Jones THIS offseason buddy lol. Unless youre franchising Jones, youre giving him atleast another four years, so at that point, Richardson makes ZERO sense in NY.
