Part 3: • Anthony Russo on Sneak...
Part 1: • Anthony Russo Grew Up ...
--------
In the latest clip, Anthony "Hootie" Russo detailed how he started selling drugs. At first, he was making a "fortune" in high school by selling nickel bags of weed. Later, he began selling crack and buying kilos by the time he was 18. He also claimed he became affiliated with the mafia at 14. While he initially thought he'd be apart of the Bonnano family, he explained that the Gambinos were the "rock stars."

This guy was nothing. Someone has to go on record for you with the family before you can even be considered anything to them and no one went on the record for Russo because of his drug usage.. in one interview he claimed someone went on the record for him but could not remember the man's name, highly, highly unlikely and in another interview he said he turned down the chance at being put on the record because he wanted to continue making money through his drug sales.. absolute nonsense. If growing up, living around and committing crimes with known connected members makes one an associate then by that definition I know hundreds of so-called associates but that's not how it works.

In reality the castellano hit had nothing to do with ethnicity. people within the family thought Paul was greedy and out of touch with the streets. @@vinnysaccount Castellano never had full support of the captains during his reign. He was resented by many because he never 'put in work' in the streets and was greedy and entitled. They felt that the only reason he became boss was because he was Gambino's first cousin and that Dellacroce was passed over and should have been named boss instead. This split the family in two. Gotti already had the support of the more powerful captains and that's all he needed as the so-called Castellano captains were afraid of Gotti and Dellacroce loyalists. I didn't see the movie, I heard it sucked actually. It's entertainment obviously and necessarily factually accurate.

The Mafia comes from Sicily, yes even before we were part of Italy. Italy had no involvement in Sicily till WWII. Where he is wrong we never considered our selves Italian why we already had our own culture independent of Italy. The Boss of Boss has always been in Sicily, now it’s just like any big Crime organization and yes Italians are part of it but still Run by Sicily. The word Mafia isn’t even a Sicilian or Latin word, it’s believed to come from Arabic and wasn’t used in Sicily till a novel in 1800’s and the first use was Mafiosa talking about beautiful women and Mafioso just means sly like fox not a made man that is American Mafia not Sicilian. The first use for the Mafia was protection of towns form other criminals kinda like a police force. Also that’s why they now use La Cosa Nostra which means for us or by us it was to separate from the American crime families.

@@992ras No it doesn’t, not just Sicily, It comes from Calabria, Puglia & Naples as well. The Calabrian’s are a lot more powerful nowadays than the Sicilians are. Calabrian clans are the most powerful and largest in the world now, global and not infiltrated. They filled the power vacuum and have the drug trafficking game on lock.the Camorra goes back just as far as the CosaNostra, so does the Ndrengeta.

Toto Riina, would never dictate orders to Raffaele Cutolo in Napoli or any other bosses of other mafia organizations outside of Sicily. That’s just not how it works. Also it doesn’t come from the Moors at all. You should learn about the legend of the three Spanish Knights the one that went to Sicily the one the one to Naples on the one to Calabria, that formed CosaNostra, Ndrengeta and the Camorra.
