You can tell this song was written from his soul ....u can feel the pain in his voice and his delivery just every single aspect of the song u can just feel the pain of his whole entire life .....he explained the pain he has gone through in life so elegantly in 4 minutes and 6 seconds of a song ....damn near impossible to do but he did it perfectly and he also made it so anyone who has gone through the struggle can relate and what else can I say he did it perfectly couldn't have been done any better imo u.....like I said to someone if you don't feel this in your soul then you either don't have one or have never gone through a struggle of any kind and are lucky as fuck because u have obviously had quite a great life with smooth sailing ....but anyone who has struggled in any type of way major or minor can and will relate to this song no matter age race or religion there is really no way you couldn't relate to this song ....and if u don't like I said above u never experienced struggle and are lucky or u just have no soul for real for real

One of the best songs ever written and best tracks produced. Most youngsters say older generation is just hating on their music, but you listen to this and see the huge disparity in talent, song writing, soul, and attitude. Stuff they make now can't even touch this. And yeah, like a lot of comments, if you haven't struggled then you just don't really relate.

His entire delivery in this song is drenched and dripping with pathos. You can physically FEEL the pain and emotion in his voice, down to the very marrow in your bones. We might imagine what that resonance must have felt like for him when first performing these songs for audiences and seeing his life's hardships reflected in their faces. The cathartic validation of finally being understood. The fact that he is and was able to be seen and heard like this is a part of the healing process. Not only for him, but indeed also us. This is the transformative power of art. This song is literally therapy.

+nolan flemmings The more I listen to music and my tastes in it, the more I find that soul brings me back to life and remedies me when I feel down. Gives me strength and makes life a bit more tolerable. Because we can all relate how it is, to come from where we come from.

That's great to hear! You see, that's what genuine music is supposed to do. I try to keep it as genuine as possible when it comes to music. Once you stick to what's real; it become easier to see the bull.... in Everything!

One of the most powerful songs I've ever heard. The lyrics, the voice, you can tell it's genuine and comes from the heart. First time I heard this song was on the Chappelle Show many years ago, it's still one of my favourite songs to this day. They don't make music like this anymore. 😢

I can relate to this song in so many ways!!!.....Wow Mr. Hamilton was going through something when he made this song! Genius in how he is able to express what he went through!...Deep. The whole song is something else that can't compare but what sticks out in my mind is when he says "sometimes you got to fight the pain and sometimes you gotta walk alone"...Lord help us all that can relate to this song one way or another:)...Makes you stronger in the end!

Irene Camarena ....big facts 💯💯💯 and u know what it's a damn shame too we def all ain't saints or perfect but we are human beings and have hearts and feelings even though we don't show that 98% of the time deep down there we def do we have shed tears over females before though most of us are reluctant to admit that I can gaurentee u every man has done that before in there lives that's a gaurentee I'm a man and I'm not ashamed to admit that I have done it on more than one occasion def more than once that's for sure but that's how y'all should know that we actually love u cuz if we have never she'd a tear over you then we never actually loved u and that's just me being honest from my experience with the women in my life the ones I shed some tears over I really loved and tbh still do cuz if I love u in the end I always will that's just how I am as a person ....the ones I didn't cry over I never gave a fuck about and still don't lol sad but true and I pretty much warned them in the beginning like hey I'm not looking for that type of relationship on that level I just got out of one and tbh I'm still kinda in love with her (still deeply in love with her but wanted to soften that a little bit to the people) but I was honest from jump so I didn't get it when they got mad because I still talked to her here and there and eventually got back together with her when they were told that !!!! Idk sorry rant over lol
