Very nice installation. The routing to factory wiring is professional attention. Here in Florida, I use a lot of Stainless Steel fasteners for exterior installations in vehicles. It resists corrosion a lot better then plated fasteners.

Nice work! I'm wondering how you install a back up siren in these newer f250/350s? I need to put one in our new shop truck and would HATE to tap into the factory wires in the back. I've been wondering if there's a t-harness or something similar that I could use? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You could get a t-harness that snow plows use on the 7-way and wire into there.

Great install, clean and makes sense. Regarding what side to run the wires up to the harness, on a 21', with the harness on the passenger side of the engine compartment, is it better to run the wires up the drivers side with the factory wires over the passenger side? Do you have a preference? Thanks!
@AnthonyJ350 Жыл бұрын
I run on the driver's side because typically the exhaust is ran on the passenger side and I prefer to stay away from it. All the factory harnessing is typically on the driver's side and you can zap strap to that.

What year was this truck? If I ever go junkyard shopping I'm going to have to put these on my radar to grab that aux relay box, it looks like it could be retrofitted as a standalone for other projects.

@silentbravo2 жыл бұрын
@@AnthonyJ350 I looked these up on ebay, that newer style (2019+) relay box is like a complete standalone part, would be perfect for DIY upfitting. Of course finding one used for a decent price won't happen for a while. I see the older style 4 switch combos are quite a bit cheaper though and probably would work well.

I thought they had more pigtails around the truck? Like a bundle by the spare and a bundle by the PTO? Like the already present pass through wires through the firewall?

@someguy4476 I got you mate, I clicked on your comment because I wanted to know the same thing. Are there the same bunch of outputs located at the PTO and rear of truck all with the same output relay? Eg, if you use the blue wire for a PTO output then you couldn't use that same BLUE output under the hood or at the rear. Saves running wires to these places. I suspect NO as in the vid if this was the case he would have used the rear outputs for his lights rather than running them all the way up to the hood. Nice thing for Ford to add in future models though. ...
