I hadn't seen this function before, so I tried it. I tried it on several blue heron images that I took last week. I used PS Superzoom at 2x and compared it to simply Resizing the image in PS and adding a little bit of highness sharpening. I think the process of using resize and HP sharpening gave an overall equal or better result. The Superzoom process took 4 minutes per photo. The Resize function is almost instantaneous. For the extra computation, I'm not sure it was worth it for me.

I often use your approach when I have cropped and agree it works pretty well. I have Gigapixel but rarely use it since PS seems to be entirely usable.

Thank you for teaching this feature Anthony, I did 1 photo in 2min 3x zoom 11% sharpening + noise reduction + face enhance, original raw 38mb, new tiff 6960x4640 by Photoshop 2.52gb. Did same photo 4x zoom but result was tiff 'over 4gb limit warning!' when returning to Lightroom. Conclusion = waste of disk space, unless you delete tiff after making 23mb jpeg or have a very special photo to zoom

I had not seen this feature before and had 3 photos to try it on. Firstly it took forever to process the pictures (I have a relatively good computer) well over 20 minutes each. It also drastically increased the file size from 130mb dng file to over 1gb. The one file increased to nearly 2gb

Hello, Good tutorial. As far as your computer goes what are the specs because I am looking to upgrade soon. Not doing any gaming just photoshop. Another photographer on KZbin always starts off by denoising. It usually takes his computer 20sec or so where as mine will take 10min ..any help would be appreciated.

Thank you for the demo on this filter. Unfortunately My m2 Mac mini,the basic model, couldn’t cope. Ran out of memory before image was processed after 18 mins. I have Gigapixel so was just doing it for comparison.

Thank you for another great video on Super-Zoom. I have one problem when I go to edit in Adobe Photoshop 2024. The image opens up in Photoshop Beta and not Photoshop 2024. Is there a way to stop that in Lightroom Preferences. I am Running Windows 11

Anthony, any thoughts on why Adobe persists with both PS and LRC? They are slightly different platforms with different tools, and I have to move between both to get the complete toolset.

What pc is blud using it takes 40 mins for me. Is the difference between mac and windows so massive in optimization? I mean I have a decent pc (32 Gb ram 3080ti ryzen 7 3700x overclocked) I may be cpu bound lol

Gigapixel is terrible, or at least it was as of 2023, I haven't used it since then. Love this new feature in photoshop. I find it very useful.

A pity PS is not that smart to let you know, in a way, why the neural filter is greyed out. If the mouse over could tell you the available reasons that would help any first time user a lot…

Wow, that's a bad design to get no real-time preview of denoise & sharpen in the superzoom neural filter! It's a crapshoot & bakes in. If n,g. we have to start over on the zoom... No incentive to do those functions in superzoom. At least to me. BTW, looking forward to PsVS 5.
