I meant to mention "culling" has a meaning of selective removal of an object or thing from a larger group. What you are doing is grading...for culling I prefer to use the x label with auto advance and then with a command/delete keystroke, remove all the x'd images.

This was one that made me chuckle also - how many times I could not figure out why sometimes LR would auto-advance and sometimes not. Now I realize, I must have had the caps lock on. I hope I remember next time. THANKS for another great video.

Outstanding. I sometimes inadvertently set this up and it bugs the hell out of me and i didn't know what caused it or why it would be of any use. I thought it was a bug so would restart LR. Now I know better I can really use this feature instead of cursing it. Thanks.

It's not what you want to hear, but upgrade your lightroom to Lightroom Classic I used to use Lightroom 4 but now use Classic & there are so many improvements with new features

Anthony, is there a way to copy the basic EXIF data to the clipboard in LR? I post to a few photography forums that require posted photos to be accompanied by EXIF data.

The easiest way to cull images in LR is not to do it in LR. I use acdsee Pro to import rename and cull my images, then I drag and drop my selects right into LR. LR is way too slow and eats a lot of memory- plus it keeps the catalog at a manageable size because you’re only editing select images.

Hmm...does that mean once you're done culling, there's a good chance your keyboard is now in ALL CAPS MODE? 🤔 EDIT: Just figured out that you can get the same effect by holding the Shift key when typing a flag, etc., which could be an option if you hate having caps-lock on -- but of course that means you're using both hands, so maybe it's a toss-up?
