Secondly, I am dreadfully sorry to hear that you are injured with back pains. I hope your convalescence is getting on well. Right. Now, then. Regarding the Revoltech Arkham Knight Batman figure. The proportions are very odd indeed; it has those short and stumpy legs, which is a glaring problem for me considering I am a massive Batman fan. I, too, love these games, and it is a right pity that companies struggle to get the Arkham Knight aesthetic correct. NECA’s 1/4 scale Arkham Knight Batman is the best-looking, however. Yes, Revoltech has its share of problems, chiefly, with proportions - but I would say the Play Arts Kai Arkham Knight Batman is far more problematic. And I know that is a different scale entirely; same goes for the NECA. By the way, to answer your Question of the Day, I would have to say that I fancy the Arkham City batsuit most. It is a classic modernised. It is also minimalist and simple, but eye-catching just the same. Arkham Knight bat suit is a very close second. Great review, my friend! Take care! Another great review, Anthony. While I personally enjoy this figure, it’s nice to see you point out the negatives to this figure that I hardly see people say. Most people I’ve seen say this Batman is almost flawless when he’s really not. I do agree the cape is way too much and for me the biggest gripe is the lack of accessories. I’m just glad that mine has great QC, no issues on mine, that’s probably why he’s more enjoyable for me to mess around with compared to others.

QOTD: For arkham batsuits, i really like the arkham origins batsuit, it is so bulky and armored which i really like. I got this figure too and the QC problem on mine was the stiff right thigh ball joint and loose left shoulder ( but seeing from this video, i guess the cape is the one who makes it loose although the older shoulder is fine ). Kinda regret it when i first opened it, but later i fixed the stiffness with a dish soap and then apply some super glue (gel version) to the shoulder, and it made the figure much better posed! On a side note, yeah i agree that weird that he has to be short like that , the capes kinda frustrating to pose because of the extra material like you said. mayhaps the LPZZ arkham knight batman that is coming out could be much better. also, thanks for reviewing this figure and hope you get well soon from the back injury.

I got mine yesterday and yes, there are definitely some gripes. Can’t disagree with you on most of your points Anthony. That being said, I personally am having a ton of fun posing him and have gotten some great poses. Hope you all are happy with yours even tho there are definitely some issues.

I’ve learned with Batman figures with a lot of cape, folding the cape helps a lot with neutral poses. I picked up the mezco golden age Batman and his cape came folded so that gave me the idea for when I got this figure

I would definitely recommend the Amazing Yamaguchi Agent Venom if you're looking for an example of an armored character done in this style with way better articulation and accessories.

LPZZ looks way better glad I passed on this one, mainly due to the qc issues and the height. The amount of accessories is also a bit underwhelming if u ask me, considering all the gadget that he has in the game.

The butterfly swing is smartly faithfully capturing how those upper chest pieces including the sides of the bar emblem work in game where they’re mounted independently from the center plate , shame there’s rest of the figure isn’t that well thought out. Sorry to hear about your back that’s terrible.

I have him in a standing pose right now and I would defy anyone to say he didnt look good! Just because it's not dynamic doesn't mean you don't need to think about what you're doing. I think the cape is one of the best 1:12th scale I've ever posed, very versatile, too much is better than too little. He is a bit more limited compared to other revoltech but that's still better than most companies, I havent run into any problems getting a pose I want. I do have my problems - my copy has the loose leg QC issue, I'm worried about the longevity of the cape material, and the bonus face should come standard. The QC especially seems inconsistent with this one which is disappointing. I am very happy with him altogether, best Batman I've ever messed with, that's for sure.

The McDonalds near me is in the process of a renovation and I’m very sad the ball pit and slide will go away. It has the red roof and giant arches and I know it’s going to become a boring grey food prison building. Anyway…Batman those legs so funky.

The torso looks long compared to the legs. The arms look okay, it’s the legs that are the issue. I like the cape and the chest plates.

It’s a shame how much they messed this figure up considering how much the actual design from the game lends itself to revoltechs unique articulation. The chest for example, basically functions the same way in game because they’re meant to be layered bullet proof plates that can slide over each other so that they don’t restrict his movement, there’s a whole cutscene about it lmao

No QC errors on mine besides one of the legs popping off sometimes (although it pops right back in, still a bummer), and yeah, some of it’s janky. But I can’t help but love it. I love Arkham Knight and I love Batman. He’s short and he’s weird but he’s my guilty pleasure.

I own one Revoltech figure, and I will leave it at that. He drives me crazy. Maybe because the figure is the medieval knight on horse. The horse adds to things that can go wrong in the last moment you think "now I stroke the pose". No - one of the two will throw a limb at you. And then you start over. They drive me crazy. I considered glueing the joints to turn the figure into a statue. Did not do that. But when I was satisfied with the two looking good, I left them alone. Granted they did not move for two years. Hope it stays that way.

'Too much cape' is why I'm staying away from Mafex Hush Batman and waiting for their Knightfall Batman to be reissued in black. Strangely, the absolute cape unit isn't as bad as a glance here.

I have the Mcfarlane version and it's okay, the articulation could be better and he needs fists. I'm looking forward to the LPZZ version, that one looks to have the sculpt, paint and articulation that we need.

QOTD: I love the finalised Arkham City suit before Bruce receives the new “Fear” suit from Fox in Arkham Knight. Oh man, I’m glad I skipped on it. This is the new Doom Slayer of action figures. Lot of great ideas but nowhere near what this release needed. Meanwhile, both Catwoman and Samus are the thesis of what both Batman and Doomguy should achieve.

My ranking goes City, Origins, Asylum, Knight. The paneling on v7.34 ruins it for me. No one has ever seemed to really nail the proportions of an Arkham batman and its kinda baffling. The best one I've got is the DCC Origins figure and that thing is a brick and pretty sure the hip pegs are clear plastic. He just stands there.

"I miss the ball pits" made me laugh way harder than it had any right to. As for the figure, I expected a home run after they nailed (IMO) Moon Knight, but yeah, those proportions are horrid, those and the crappy pleather cape turned me off getting it. There is an upcoming 1:12 Arkham Knight figure from a company named LPZZ which looks stunning, so here's hoping it turns out great. QOTD : I enjoy both Arkham Origins and Arkham Knight's main suits the most, with honorable mentions for the Arkham City Batman Beyond suit and the Exteme Environment Batsuit from the Arkham Origins DLC, but I got a soft spot for Batman suits with the whole face covered. The Arctic Suit from the "The Batman" cartoon is still one of my all time favorite variant suit.

Says he's way too short but looks just about right next to AY Catwoman (as shown in video) imo & is approx. same height as Mafex Hush Batman (which he said was fine height-wise in review of that figure???)🙃. Weak effort re: comparables imo as where's the side-by-side comparisons with rest of AY's (and/or Mafex) DC lineup??? Very negative review for a pretty great looking 1:12 scale AK Batman imo.

The proportions are a bit odd. Specifically the thick legs which make the figure look stumpy. That said the articulation is great without ugly gapping. Shoulders move everywhere and look good Zero gapping in the waist and be can crunch down heaps heaps. Rarely ever are ballpegs in the torso done this well and especially for such an armored figure. Wouldnt call that "just ok". Kicks forward weakly but practically 90. The "ok" splits are completely full splits. Not sure whats "ok" about completely full splits Though in the end id agree it's an odd figure because of the thick thick legs which in turn make them look stumpy and then make the whole figure look short. At 6.5 inches i wouldn't call it short per se. Short compared to Catwoman sure. Batman in the comics is apparently 6'2 so this would still be "above" true 1/12 scale. The stumpy legs and tiny head give an illusion of midgetness.

I recently got this figure from BBTS, and boy, it was so disappointing! For starts, the shoulder pad came right off with one fair movement of the arm, very easily. Then, the left leg was super stiff, even with shock oil. Along with that, the leg kept falling apart from the thigh area. Very cumbersome handling with the cape always in the way. Very stumpy looking as far as esthetic goes. Overall a very disappointing figure! Good thing BBTS has great customer service and I was able to get a full refund! Paying over $100 was completely not worth it!

Very disappointing showing from Amazing Yamaguchi. The Spiderman 2.0 was a homerun, and (more relevantly) Moon Knight was great. I was really looking forward to this, because their previous Batman was one of their first figures, and they are leagues better now. But we end up with a stumpy peanut headed guy, who can't even pose as much as AY is supposed to. Such a shame. Again, Moon Knight was great, they should have just built him like that again.

I mean this is the Revoltech style, more like a comic style... If you want a more videogame accurate version, then LPZZ is the way to go. I like this figure, I have the McFarlane too, just waiting for the LPZZ one.

That definitely seems to be the case when it comes to aesthetics, most Revoltechs do look very anime imo and have a very muscular look that can make certain characters look shorter.

Batmobile was AWESOME…how TF would Batman take on a massive militia etc? With his “punching power?”….Batmobile RULED…ONLY con the game has is the lack of big boss battles, and that was due to WB making Rocksteady release the game before it was done
