Frankie is truly underrated. His name isn't one that often comes up when talking about technical proficiency. It should. A lot of people can bang on the drums hard and fast. It takes a rare kind of skill to combine fluid play with speed and power. Frankie Banali has it.

@lynchie1378 жыл бұрын
demonite0429 Yeah. He had a pretty good mop of hair going there, didn't he? The only question is, why did he shave it all off? Was it the same reason why guys like Kerry King or Rob Halford shaved theirs off, (because they were going bald)? Or was it just because he was getting tired of having long hair?
@demonite04298 жыл бұрын

Charlie Benante is incredible! Not only does he play extremely fast, but he is spot on, right in the pocket at all times. The amazing thing is, unlike a lot of metal drummers who just play fast single strokes, he is utilizing a lot of double strokes and other rudiments. What can fool people is how easy he makes it look. The true sign of a master, as opposed to Lars, who seems to agonize over the simplest parts. Of course I'm speaking of the past (late 80s), when I used to go see these bands. As a young drummer, I was blown away by Charlie's speed, dexterity and precision.

@richard_4stringmf1782 жыл бұрын
I think that Lars did pretty good, you know, he was self taught at that time and he was playing drums only since 1981, when metallica was just formed. James said about his first drumkit this: "It was like 10 colors... ." Boy he didn't know a thing yet he went for it and when you see what he did on Justice, it's crazy. Charlie is cool and consistent while Lars went from 0 to 10 and now he keeps around 6 or 7. He could pull it off, but with how much he and band were touring Inam not surprised that he is kinda sloppy now.

[Verse 1] "Why don't you listen when I try to talk to you? Stop thinking of yourself for just a second, fool Shut up, shut up, I don't wanna hear your mouth Your mother made a monster, now get the hell out of my house" [Pre-Chorus] Can't stand it for another day I ain't gonna live my life this way Cold sweat, my fists are clenching Stomp, stomp, stomp the idiot convention Which one of these words don't you understand? Oh, caught in a mosh Talking to you is like clapping with one hand! [Chorus] What is it? Caught in a mosh! What is it? Caught in a mosh! What is it? Caught in a mosh! What is it? Caught in a mosh! [Verse 2] "Don't tell me how to do my job There's the door, your name's on the knob You're always in the way like a beast on my back Were you dropped as a baby? 'Cause brain you lack" [Pre-Chorus] Can't stand it for another day I ain't gonna live my life this way Cold sweat, my fists are clenching Stomp, stomp, stomp the idiot convention Which one of these words don't you understand? Oh, caught in a mosh Talking to you is like clapping with one hand! [Chorus] What is it? Caught in a mosh! What is it? Caught in a mosh! What is it? Caught in a mosh! What is it? Caught in a mosh! [Bridge] (Aw!) "Think before you speak Or suffer for your words Learn to give respect that others give to you Oh, the best you can do" [Guitar Solo] [Verse 3] (Hey man); I'm trying to reason, but you don't understand Talking in circles, we'll never get it straight Just you and me in our theater of hate [Pre-Chorus] Can't stand it for another day I ain't gonna live my life this way Cold sweat, my fists are clenching Stomp, stomp, stomp the idiot convention Which one of these words don't you understand? Oh, caught in a mosh Talking to you is like clapping with one hand! [Chorus] What is it? Caught in a mosh! What is it? Caught in a mosh! What is it? Caught in a mosh! What is it? Caught in a mosh!

A real crowd pleaser for sure. For those of us who remember when this album first came out, we will soon be moshing to this song in wheelchairs! 🤣🤘

They all compliment each other so well. That's what makes them the most talented bands of all time, IMO of course.

A great song about moshing without anyone actually moshing. Too bad. I also love DRI's "Thrashard."

Great advice "Think before you speak or suffer for your words. Learn to give respect that others give to you." Exact opposite of most videos on Tiktok nowadays

If metal ever had a song which could qualify as a dance theme, this one's about the closest to fitting that description that I can think of

I saw these guys during their Persistance of Time tour opening for Iron Maiden. I was just completely blown away. They even did I'm the Man. Fuck that was so great live....them doing their thing and just having a hell of a good time. And Iron Maiden kicked ass too. No elaborate stage production. Just a wall of amps, a couple of ramps and backdrops....oh and of course Eddie. It ranks up there as one of the best shows I've been to.

I always loved Metallica and Megadeth but have been paying more attention to these guys as of late and they’re good as well.

They are definitely an American underground band that needed to be displayed to the commercial sector to teach them that we are not ever gonna stop rocking. Rock on.
