A lot of people don’t realize how important this song was, along with many more at the time. The mid 80’s and early 90’s were a turning point in music. Tipper Gore and her idiot followers were trying to censor and outright ban music they didn’t like. Metal, rap, country and other artists stood together to prevent it. It was a great time to grow up in and see. Dee Snider of Twisted Sister actually took the censorship board to federal court and defeated them. Yes I've actually seen the part where Snider testifies. He gives a great speech and certainly helped to teach a lot of people in that moment. And agreed - a turning point in music. -BStar

I love you two dearly and the hearts you both have and how you can openly discuss things with open hearts . I see both your points I am completely for protecting kids from things that could harm them potentially there is so much anger in this world and other things we have lost respect for life and each other . Pornography is real and damaging ! Dwayne I hear you in sheltering kids or censoring we have to be careful not to push them away or not allow them to talk about things or express themselves . It’s tricky for sure I think we all know in our hearts what speaks to our souls .The key is to set guidelines be an example of good and if our children choose things we do not agree with them talk it out decide what boundaries need to be set Yes Bobbi freedom but parental warnings for sure ! We need to decide in our own lives and homes what atmosphere we want There is so much music 🎶 out there that can bring so much to our lives it is an incredible tool in our lives I believe it can do as much damage as it can good .

I have lived in many parts of the world and born in India.. I found Americans tend to be more sensitive to curse words than most others outside America including the English speaking Indians. We used words like c**t and f**k and p**sy as an adjective in almost every conversation and cunt wasn't used only in a feminine context .. like for e.g. it even in sport of someone missed an easy opportunity at a goal or let go an easy goal We would go what a c**t.. no big deal... And our schools at that time didn't give a crap about our language unless it got used chronically but 1 word here or there would go on deaf ears.. I think they're a little different now trying to confirm to global sensitivity of such words but still nowhere as close to here...

Thanks for that perspective Joe! It's not just Americans, we Canadians grew up very similarly. Cursing was a 'bad' thing, and certainly the C word was rarely accepted, and still to this day seems to be frowned upon. I have heard it most in British programming that I've watched. It doesn't bother me, but to be honest, is still mildly surprises me when I'm hearing it. Fascinating how regional differences in language can grow and become part of the culture. @@ddubsnbstar835 you may be right about it being a causal curse word in British slangs as we as Indians learnt English from them and hence don't find it overly offensive.. I've got mindful of using it here but didn't think much of it back in India..
