It's most definitely a one take live performance. Ren is a multifaceted musical genius. He performs many of his videos live. There are a couple voice coaches that also did reaction videos on this video. The Charismatic Voice talks about the diff techniques used in this performance. Ren can perform every music genre, and he's great at all of them. He suffers from Lyme disease and is currently in treatment in Canada.

So many people commenting that this is a one-take video. Sound was recorded live, yes, but the video has edits and in the end they switch from stationary cameras to a hand-held one so that's a separate take. Samuel Perry-Falvey who filmed it, says that in the comments of Jonathan Hiller's reaction to Hi Ren. It's a masterpiece nonetheless, no matter the number of takes or cuts or whatever.

Interesting reaction. It is recorded live. I would describe it as a work of art. He is multi talented. Check out his trilogy.

This was indeed shot LIVE in one take, as are many of Ren's videos, notice the microphone he was wearing. Also the dissonance on guitar was indeed intentional. it was more aggressive when the self-conscience was singing.

It IS live. He makes alot of videos live one shot. His mic is attached to his hospital gown and his guitar is plugged in.

@@hmo_mackey I didn't say it was. Most of this one is until close to the end of the song.

I think it's more accepting that the dark side will always be there and we have to learn to 'get over it' forgive ourselves and know the light side is also always there.

Ok im going on this Ren ride with you but we didn't get to see your surprised side. OK well do experience The traumaticly told tales of Jenny and Screech if you're into medieval bard style Shakespearean-esque melodic. murder mysteries.. But go in Blind.. No peeking first!

I think its a one take, but of course there are cuts as there are at least 3 cameras.

When you have three or four cameras running, it's normal to edit the films together. If you look very carefully and the lady should look very very carefully, the guitar is plugged in, and he is wearing a mic on his hospital gown. If you don't like the song just be honest and say so. Don't watch the Tale of Jenny and Screech because that's live too and I'm pretty sure you won't like it.

Lip syncing? NO WAY! You are the only reactor out of over a hundred to suggest this was not a live performance. There are questions over how it was filmed that might possibly suggest more than one take but this was a live performance. Please leave Jordan Peterson and the Bible out of this.

The brillance of this live multi layered song and performance appears to have gone over your heads. Perhaps you should just react to Movies and TV your insight in to music performace is lacking
