You’re the first person I’ve ever heard say they like to be moist. Most say let them dry out. And I have even noticed with my anthuriums, if I let them dry out….they produce wayyy more flowers.

Very interesting. I have a great draining mix that I use similar to orchid mix which is always slightly moist. Perhaps I’ll try letting it dry out and see what happens

Hello!! Love your channel, I am confused, I thought the Anthurium were low light!! I brought mine from PR, and I have her next to a South facing window but it is not direct light. SHe is super leggy which now makes sense. I use PLANT ID app and they said that she is low light??? Will love to hear your input thanks

They’re low light if outside for sure. Indoors, they can handle lower light rooms as long as they are consistently bright. But they will likely not continue to flower in those locations. Brighter light often brings more blooms

Thanks for the tip. I just changed my anthurium soil from regular potting soil to orchid mix. I noticed the water did not stay as I poured it. I am concern it won't be moist since all the water are drained. How often do I water my plants using the orchid mix?

awesome, i think it'll be happy in the orchid bark. what i would do is to have a plastic tray beneath it to catch the extra water and allow water to remain in the tray at all times. ive had tons of success with anthurium growing them like that.

It’s hard to say, could be over or under watering. Maybe it’s time to give it new potting mix

The white thing holds the flowers. The flowers are the bumps along the white spadix

my suggestion would be to repot it in a slightly larger container and rinse off the soil when transplanting it and give it brand new soil. this can help activate new flower growth
