I love to watch this. It is so good to be able to see these styles being done. I would love my hairdresser to do the same for me. I used to do these styles in the 70s and they are timeless. They are smart and easy to keep yourself. Any hairdresser who can do these styles alongside the modern styles is worth their pay. So often now hairdresser's only have one way of doing things and can forget each client is another person. Modern style is good but also these timeless styles still look lovely. Well done everyone who has taken part in the videos. I have loved every part.

This is a proper short shag cut but an improper blowdry and style. I lived it. It should have been dried with a vent brush followed by rounded brush held vertical to the floor.

This exactly how I was taught to do a shag in the late 70’s. Now, at age 60, I wear a medium shag and my stylist hasn’t a clue how to SHAG like this... Guess, there’s a new way🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m hope this client did color after this cut😬😏😉

That is exactly how u cut it when u want to keep length but have really short layers at the crown. U bring the lower perimeter straight up off base to blend the lower layers with the short layers at the crown. She parted it off evenly and she went slightly off angle at the side crown because as we all know our heads are not square they are round or oval. After she blow dried it i didnt see any chucky cut or layers. Are u people hair dressers because i am. This is basic cutting 101. Its nothing fussy or fancy. This isnt the usa, u know that right?? I know here in the usa people think their cut isnt good until some crazy hairdresser does circus acts with the scissors, but trust me the cut was typical 101.

@@deanrobinson711 i have been cutting for 32yrs. U have to take in consideration that this is in the Ukraine or Romania. Women there are not into product in their hair or like anything fussy. They have thick hair and about all they do is some color. They want it cut fast and they want to be on their way. I lived in the UK for 7yrs working in the salons and they wanted in and out in 20mins for a cut and blow dry. Here in the USA if i only took 20mins for a cut and blow dry they dont think they got their moneys worth...lol i have watch several of her videos and they are all basic cuts and basic bobs. Thats what women want there. Basic easy care hair styles. Also notice they dont use any kind of irons either. Women are to busy there they cant be bothered with taking 30mins to do their hair everyday.

@@sewforlife5728 Das stimmt so nicht. Meine Arbeitskollegin ist aus der Ukraine. Sie hat tolle Frisuren tätowierte Augenbrauen und Lippen, künstliche Fingernägel und sieht toll aus. Sie hat 2 Kinder und arbeitet Tageweise und ist immer top gepflegt, sehr modisch angezogen, und nie ungekämmt. Auch ihre Verwandten und Freunde sehen genau so top und gepflegt aus, obwohl sie wenig Geld haben. Ich habe so eine Friseurin wie in dem Video gezeigt, noch nie gesehen. Diese furchtbare Omafrisur, wäre nicht so schlimm wenn sie dementsprechend geschminkt wäre. Selbst da hat sie ein grosses Defizit.

This cut was not classy and not anti aging. Nobody wearing masks properly. In the background at 38 seconds the unmasked person in the background (receptionist?) kisses someone on the cheek who is wearing a mask. Man in background wearing no mask. Hairdresser wearing the mask under her nose. Client has her mask removed completely by the end. Hairdresser touching contaminated phone and then putting her hands all over the client. Clients too close together. This was a hot mess from start to finish.

Agree, not the true shag. I had my waist long hair at age 8 cut off into a shag (regrettably) Mine had less hair at the bottom than this, and my sides were shorter too, hmm... My mom was a "beautician" back in the mid 60s and early 70s. This just looks like a layered cut to me. 🤔 Also, I read that wearing a mask with your nose uncovered is like using a condom with the tip cut off, lol. Useless. Yes it can be blow dried yourself. I used to do mine. With the right brushes and mirrors it can be done very well. Give yourself time and get better each time by trying.

The cut was a layered cut, but not a shag. I wore my hair in a shag in the 70s. The cut did look pretty from the back but not so much the bangs. Too much work to maintain, blow dry, etc.
