The comment on the production of spectacle was fascinating. Now the moment you hear spectacle you think debord and ofc this part of the literature is extremely difficult to wrap your mind around theoretically. As important as it is id love to hear what these changes in consumerism and turnover rate mean with respect to marxist economy, valorization, rate of profit, that sort of thing. This is my favorite podcast atm pls keep up the good work

@@clarestucki5151 , what do you mean no one ever has? It's not difficult to have a viable economic system. The problem is putting it in place. We've known for a very long time what works and what doesn't work. You don't need capitalism in order to have a business, to have a market, to have people producing things, selling in trading with one another, Etc. Capitalism is the economic system of parasites. You can't have an economic system where most of the wealth ends up going to the non producer.

@@michaelmappin1830 and religion is untaxed even though it brings in billions of dollars every year so what's your point? The problem is you ppl are being sold a steaming pile of grade A horse shit by thinking that an economy that requires capital (finance) can thrive on merely nothing but feelings. The truth is capitalism will be apart of every economic system because ppl want to be paid for their products and services otherwise it'll be literally slavery.

It's true that all those parts of the totality are equally important, but they all point to a single social cause, which is the property rights uniquely associated with capital. Culture, technology, social relations etc are reproduced whenever these property rights are successfully enforced in the interest of capital against the rest of society. Whenever the pushback is beaten down and opposition quiets down, capitalist power is (re)established and life (or what's left of it) reorganizes itself around the new state of affairs, technology is nudged in a specific direction instead of another, and culture is put to work to make things acceptable or even desirable again for the conquered.

The problem with unfettered capitalism - an abstract entity - is that, at its root, the value structure inherent to the price formation of commodities that monetize social relations elevates the priority of property over people. The concept of property ownership supersedes human interest.

I agree that all those aspects of society (education conception of nature, technology even religions ) are connected and evolve let's say in a tandem, sort of synchronizing way.. however, I am still prefer the Marx distinction between Economic Structure, let's say de basements, and Social/political/Tech/Science/Religion/Nature conceptions as the Superstructure.. both form the Society and feedback between them but in a different way...And grouping them is this way helps how we can transform one thing AND the relation with the others...

This speaker never introduces the listener to the concept of CURRENCY. I find that amazing considering his sensitivity to the creativity and productivity of human beings and their relationship with Nature. The first step to organizing the creativity and productivity of the human race starts with the GOVT of any society. Govt is the ONLY source of sociey's currency - anyone else who creates it is a counterfeiter. Think about that. Govt is the ONLY naturally lawful source of national currency. If the govt doesn't create it, you've got NO currency in your hands. The problem with how the world is currently designed and why the world is confused, suffering deprivation, and remains in ignorance is that govt handed it's currency creation duty and responsibility over to a private banking cartel who decides who, what and when will receive currency. Instead of the govt of people deciding how to distribute currency, govt permits the private banking cartel to control and direct the world. I guarantee you that NO society will EVER enjoy peace, prosperity, full expression of personal and social creativity and productivity until the private banking cartel is DESTROYED and BANNED forever.

before I tackle this thorny problem seemingly unsolvable by most people, Marx included, I want to say that it is not out of arrogance or reckless disregard for any of the so called economist who tried their hand at undoing this Gordian knot, but a keen sense of ~wanting to know~ what a proper humane system looks like and how exactly it'll function. This attitude rests on the Socratean idea that I don't know anything, only that I'm an ignorant fool. This is a very advantages start because it keeps dogmas & ideologies at bay. From this simplistic take on how to solve ANY problem we arrive at the conviction that there HAS to be an answer that's universally acceptable to all people because we are all the same in our human ignorance/needs etc ; we do not understand the complexity of what faces us. But here, we need some help. From who ? Well people choose to follow other people who seem to know the answer, and many halve baked solutions have only added to the general chaos dished up by 'experts' leaving us in a steadily worsening anti social quagmire. Now the Person to turn to for answers is no less than God Himself, but more specific the Bible, preferably the oldest translation you can get. Now immediately I have to point out that I'm NOT a religious pundit, stay away from church ! But please read this Book if you seek wisdom to understand HOW to deal with these convoluted matters. Someone who DID this in a way far above contemporary intellectual levels, was a man called Rudolf Steiner, who incidentally was murder for exactly this reason ; he proposed a REAL alternative and the Nazis took him out for that...... why kill a fool with another thumbsuck solution unless it threatens the PTB ? Hopefully this essay will show why. Suppose the system is a table on which we are preparing a meal for everyone.... now because the floor on which the table stands is very uneven, we found that a three legged table is perfectly stable on such a floor, provided the three legs are separate and equally spaced. These three legs are Liberty, Equality and Fraternity. But WHAT does that mean in terms of culture, law & economy ? Simply this : In our respective cultures we are free/liberty. Before the law we are equal, and in economy we are brothers & sisters. But note, that if you move the table's legs so that govt and economy become one, the table falls over and there goes our meal, or when you coincide law & culture the same thing happens.... These three legs MUST be apart and sovereign to keep the table steady... Today our table has ONE leg no wonder only chaos comes out of our so-called educated erudite opinions of fools posing as leaders. They know fokall to put it mildly, but those that do, get nailed to trees by the jews/the raw capitalists/banksters who has no grain of humanity to spare. Now I don't want to bore you any further but thanks for reading this and if you have questions, let's get into it.
