Love this video idea Lauren. I can’t stress enough how much we all NEED to start shopping our stash and collections. I have SO many products that I’ve only used once or twice, that I’m not even sure if I love or hate, that I haven’t even given a chance etc. One of my goals for the year is using stuff from my stash and only buying stuff I need or know I’m gonna love and use. I could not agree with you more. I was buying everything mostly high end for six years. I have an entire room filled with makeup. I so regret spending the ridiculous amount of money that I did on items that dry up and expire. Expensive lesson learned!

I really want the newest Nars face palette with all those gorgeous baked gelee blushes and highlighter it’s the Starry something BUT I already have the orgasm in the beach face palette so idk I still really want the Starry palette! I LOVE liquid eyeshadows the ones from Moira are Amazing!!! Certain dupes for the Stila ones and only $8.50!!😮❤😊 That purple liquid shadow you swatches is so pretty but those are $24 same as the Stila ones!

For me the beauty of Tarte duping Charlotte Tilbury is that Tarte is cruelty-free and CT is not. I've heard the Flower Beauty wand highlighter is a great dupe so I've definitely been interested in trying those since they are affordable AND CF, but where I live they have not been available. Tarte is accessible AND animal-friendly so that's a big win in my books!

They got me with all those cute CP heart blushes and highlighter!! i ordered them all because i have all the previous ones. Im thinking of coming up with a way to use them as wall decor (maybe getting a magnetic board or something and add magnet to the back of the compacts?) so they are displayed as a collection of cute stuff. I do use them a lot, many of the previous ones i got are close to hittin pan, so i do enjoy the formula, but i realize its a bit much to have so many of them. Also, to this day im wary of using cream products because i feel they will last even less on my skin, but the HC cream blushes you have look so tempting!

One point for the Tarte versions of the CT wands is more shade options and more frequent sales and discount opportunities than CT.

As for blushes I buy one kind, one shade. Hour glass ambient blush in mood exposure. It lasts forever. I use it mostly everyday. It is not cheap but well worth it for me. It is the perfect color for my skin shade.

I can relate but also, I've been stocking up on new finds more so from LA Colors and more affordable brands... LA Colors has new 7 pan palettes at Walmart and the pigment is incredible in them... and they're only $2.48!! The color stories I've seen so far are beautiful and I personally can't wait to buy more of them...that being said; for me; I've been on a no buy with high end brands since late last year and it's really went well for me... I use my collected products and if I buy new ones; I go for products in the super cheap range... like LA Colors... lol they've stepped it up so much and I'm excited to see what else pops up

For some reason Lunar New Year packaging is tempting me. Specifically 3 things, the Mac compact in beaming blush, the Tatcha essence, and the CT compact. I have none of those products, so it would be nice to get it in special packaging, however I do have similar products to all of those already. And honestly prices are going up, so I just plain ain't got the budget for repeats.

I kinda want the color pop blush in the heart packaging. I don’t need it though because I have wayyy more blush than I’m ever going to use. I don’t have a hot pink blush though. So, the hot pink is tempting. There’s an indie brand though called half magic that just came out with some really beautiful blushes and they have a beautiful hot pink. So I might get that instead. I like dupes that aren’t exactly less expensive because sometimes the dupe is available somewhere I want to shop at. I’d rather buy the Tarte products because I can get them at Ulta instead of having to shop at Sephora.

Lauren, I love this style of anti-haul! If anything I almost feel like these new collections give an idea of the types of shades that may be trending this year. The Pat McGrath collection is a good example of that.

My last Sephora order included a sample of Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille. Have you tried that one? I thought it smelled wonderful, then after a few minutes I remembered why a scent-free workplace was so important to me. I liked it, but I can't wear it (or any other scent), because it gives me a headache.

I’ve been playing around with my makeup lately. There could be a ton of reasons for this, but I find the products that make the most difference to my looks are foundation-like products, blush, setting powder, mascara, and eyeliner. I think that’s why blush has been the focus for so long. If I’m going to spend time on makeup, I want the most bang for my buck in terms of time and money.

I think makeup that's released within 2 years of whatever favorite foundation/blush/eyeshadow you have probably going to be pretty similar to your favorite. There just aren't formulation breakthroughs for each individual's preferences that often (imo). The 'breakthroughs' in eyeshadows I've noticed have been every ~4 years or so: MakeupGeek eyeshadows with really great quality and pressed duochromes in early 2010s, then Colorpop super shocks + other cheap great products in mid-late 2010s, multichromes from indie brands like Clionadh/Terra Moons right around 2020 + specifically the Adept cosmetics formula around when Plain Jane came out (a _lot_ of indie shadows felt like the Adept formula by 2022). For example: I've bought the new Rare Beauty Exhilarate powder highlighter and Nabla Ozone within 2 weeks of each other, and in the last 6 months I bought Jaclyn Cosmetics highlighter in Iced. They are slightly different but fulfill a really similar purpose - highlighting my cheekbones and being obvious highlights but not too much bling blang. They are still great highlighters and not exact dupes, but they not doing a massively different job from each other, all blend out or build up into a champagney beige highlight. Both the Jaclyn and Nabla highlighters were released late 2019. New isn't better. New probably isn't groundbreaking.

That’s when I realized I need to be realistic and not respond to the shiny shiny I already have When it comes too I’d notice my joy was just instantly sucked away as soon as I realized I went for the same vibe yet again and just felt dumb

I think a lot of brands have a heart-shaped component for powder products. KimChi uses powder blush/highlighter/bronzer in a heart and TooFaced used heart compacts in their blush a while ago.

I was intrigued by the new Tom Ford perfumes because I love cherry. But I already have Lost Cherry. I don’t need the other two. Anyone interested in Tom Ford Lost Cherry can get a dupe at target. The perfume Tonka Bean by Solinotes is about 90% the exact same smelling on the skin. Quite long lasting too! I can put one on one wrist and the other on my other wrist and nearly indistinguishable! And I mean the dry down. Tom ford has an initial blast of cherry that dissipates.

Also, the best dupe I've ever had of Lost Cherry is Lost Kitty by Mr. Hex. 8.5mL oil roller ball for $11 and it's an indie perfumery. If Hexannacht brings back Hannibal Loves Clarice, don't miss it; it's cherry almond perfection. RESPECT and Cherry Pie (both currently on hiatus) by Sucreabeille are also very cherry forward.

This video is very helpful! I myself have decided if something comes out, I need to look through what I have. I’m sure I have the same shades in my many ND, PM palettes and if it’s indie, I have many Sydney Grace and Clionadh eyeshadows. I have a TON of blushes also.
