So thrilled to see you featuring Viseart. Its a great brand that for some reason is a little slept on. Theory 3 Chroma and the Coy palette are 2 to look out for. The translation for Lilas is Lilac and Framboise is raspberry. Any palette with “etendu” at the end of its name means it’s an extension of a previous one.

Cashmerie is my favorite, too. I have used that palette more than any other in the past year. The siren’s call of 40 percent off got me too. I finally added Violette Etendu, it’s a purple lovers dream with some brown neutrals so you don’t look too crazy. But you can go full purple Miss Piggy if that’s your jam. I picked up the Peridot quad and it’s a beauty. I held myself to Viseart and the Nomad Whistler’s Lodge palette. I haven’t tried the Moira cream blushes but they are very pretty. I always put a powder blush over my Tower 28 or my hair collages itself to my cheeks throughout the day. 😂 Enjoy your sparkling treasures. 💕

Viseart was the only Black Friday sale I bought from. I only got two though - London to finish my etoile set (I got Paris and San Francisco on release) and Chou Chou. And both have been reached for quite a bit. The silver in Chou Chou I used with red and green through the holidays and London has that green/gold that I ended up loving. I think I have more Viseart palettes than any other brand.

I’m a sale shopper too, so I love to know when things are actually good, not just “good for the money”. I love Viseart! I think it’s because they started as a professional film/tv type of brand, so everything is pretty blendable and buildable. My favourite palette is Apricotine, which has a similar colour story to your pêche quad.

Viseart has had my heart for years with their eyeshadow palettes since I first tried them a few years ago. They are over a third of my total eyeshadow collection. They are just, absolute perfection for my preferences, and even the packaging design with replaceable & movable pans. Ugh, I love them. They have a big sale in the summer as well, and my heart is set on the Violetta. I talked myself out of it at the holidays because there wasn’t enough I wanted or was willing to spend with their shipping, so I decided it would be best to wait until the summer sale - especially because I usually adore & purchase the palettes that come out in summer. It’s funny to me how in your haul we only actually cross over with one palette, the Lilas; all the rest of mine are ones you didn’t pick up (Soleil la Plage, Chou Chou, Solstice, Midsommer, Soleil, Apricotine, and Pistache.) There are so many I feel I have to talk myself out of, knowing I already have similar enough shadows, but it’s difficult and I go back and forth. My biggest back and forth is probably the Love Letter palette.

Now I'm really interested in trying those Moira eyeshadows in the pots. I nearly picked up a VBB Lid Luster, but I'm glad to hear your review. I LOVE Viseart. They're one of my favorite shadow brands. I love how I can rearrange the pans between palettes and create my perfect color story. I also appreciate that they don't bring out any added texture on my mature lids. (I'm 48) I really enjoy the Petits Fours and have all of them. Such a beautiful brand. Viseart is one of my favorite. I know some people didn’t like them in recent past because of the shimmers being just shimmers not straight up metallic or sparkly. That was one of the reasons I loved them. The petit fours are more sparkly for the younger crowd. So I see some videos lately with them getting more love. I wait like a vulture for their sales. Then I swoop on in.

I was really underwhelmed by the VB lid lusters. Applied really patchy over shadow, without shadow etc. The moira shadow pots are amazing. Better quality, more colors, more product, great price.

The viseart site on black friday was amazing! I went ape $hit and spent $300. That was the only black friday purchase I did. All the palettes I have I always migrate to theirs. I probably will be getting more when holidays roll around again. I hope they bring back Pro grande 2…it was all shimmers. Huda beauty sale was awesome, but you gotta get to the site asap when it starts otherwise their stuff sells out.

Viseart is such a great brand for quick and beautiful looks! Its not always flashy, but its always reliable. My only disappointment was Etoile Paris only because I felt like the shades were just too overlapping to use together. Lilas is my go-to for a three minute eye and I still get a lot of use out Liason (Violette Entendú's inspiration) - maybe I'll try and pan some of it thos year.

Moira is on my list for sure for this upcoming year.. those shadow pots have lived rent-free in my brain since I saw you swatch them! I desperately need to fix my storage situation, I only recently learned my make up really shouldn’t be all up close to my bathroom but my space is small.. considering the smaller/shorter version of the Alex drawers you showed us and a like “go bag” I can take into the bathroom when I get ready.. idk what functional people do 😂 if I can’t easily get to it I won’t use it, which is my current situation. (Anyone with small spaces and a medium-ish or larger collection please, any advice?) I started to keep a sales database for myself to try and keep track of what the best deal is that brands offer throughout the year and when they are offered (I haven't been very diligent about it, but I also have a pretty good memory for things like that). I held off on a lot of purchases last year knowing what great deal was coming during Black Friday/Cyber Monday. I ended up not ordering from Moira and Viseart during Black Friday because Moira did a 50% off flash sale at one point last year, and I believe Viseart's anniversary sale (sometime in the summer, I think) was a better deal than Black Friday. I'll be keeping my eyes peeled this year for sales from them.

I got a Lethal Cosmetics mystery bundle and I honestly love it! I've been coveting the brand for the longest time but I could never decide what to get, even when you had your set with them-I always just got sidetracked with building my own palette and not being able to decide 😂 The mystery box meant I could get in and out in like 2 minutes without any time to think about it, aaaaaand, turns out, I love it. I never would've chosen the palette I got (Jolina collab?) or the lip color (a super dark burgundy), but I wore the lip tons over the holidays, and the palette is surprisingly versatile. I'm definitely going to be ordering more from them 🤷‍♀

The viseart framboise palette is actually raspberry. You were sooo close…..great job with the French Lauren!!❤❤❤❤. Cashmerie is by far my fav also. Like you I am a taupe, cool toned loving girl. I bought a bunch of VB during Black Friday as well. I haven’t played with it a ton because it was a Christmas gift from my husband, but I’m enjoying everything I got so far. That sucks that you didn’t enjoy it as much. I love my bronzer duo and the lipstick and glosses. Still need to wear the eyeliner and eyeshadow pot all day to see how I feel. I really want to grab something things from Moira. They seem to have some amazing products!

My favorite Victoria Beckham product is her bronzer and 20% on Black Friday is, I believe, her only sale of the year. I do love those Moira toppers (both the pots and the lucent ones) and a lot of their other products as well; and the Dose of Colors lip colors. You might like their Truffle palette; its a perfect small neutral palette that is good for every day . . . And, of course, I love Viseart. Probably Cashmerie is my favorite pre-made palette, but I have made several of my own palettes using their shadows as singles, which I truly love. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your videos Lauren. You tell us what you really think - for better and for worse. And I truly appreciate that.

I don’t know if you’ve tried it like this at all, but I really like using the Huda Glowish powder almost like the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders. I’ll use a big fluffy brush with it really lightly on the high points of my face after I set, and I loooove it

I have owned the Dark edit palette from Viseart, and loved it to pieces. Actually panned quite a few shades in there, and eventually had to declutter it because it was worn down. I loved that one so much. But then I bought one of the Etoile palettes, can't think of the name right now, but it had a turquoise in it and a yellow. Didn't like that one at all! So I was so surprised. Recently bought the petit four Violetta palette and although the colors are gorgeous, I find the show stopping metallic shade very hard to work with. Has a lot of fallout, is very crumbly and hard to pick up and get an even layer on your eyes. I do like the look once it's on, but it's a pain to get there.

I ADORE Viseart. My all-time favorite palette is one of their discontinued 12-pans, & Lilas & Cashmerie are now up there for me w/their Grand Pros. They're a true artistry-based brand, & their shadows have the pigmentation level that I like, esp. for more everyday use. I prefer to build up, rather than pack on my shadows. They are buildable, blendable, & impactful, w/out the powder explosion that many post-ABH shadows became. I've been using their shadows for 8+ yrs., & they are still some of my favorite shadows & color curations available, at any price. I also never understood why people kept sh*tting on their non-mattes. I now think it's probably because each palette typically has 1 or 2 super intense metallics, & the rest are a combo of satins, metallics, shimmers, sparkles, & even glitter-flecked shadows. They put a variety of formulas into their palettes, & you won't know which shades have which finishes until you see them swatched/in use. Although this variety is part of what I LOVE about Viseart, some people want all ultra-reflective, full-pigmentation metallics or "special" formula shades, when paying Viseart prices.

I picked up two of the Moira starshow shadow pots months ago, I think based on your recommendation, and I love that formula. So sparkly, but the sheerness makes them pretty wearable, on their own and layered with other things. I've just ordered more shades, more other single sparkly shadows aren't gettin the love atm cause I'm feelin the Moira formula so much. I'm also a big Viseart fan, their Liaison palette is the only eyeshadow palette I've ever owned where I actually panned most of the shades, their taupey/mauvey cool brown mattes are just so useful for me. Picked up the Violette Etendu to replace the Liaision and the first Lilas palette. I love being able to swap shades between them, either to make VE an all neutral palette, or to turn Lilas into an all matte travel quad

Hey Lauren! Thank you for the followup and sharing what you think after you’ve used it for a while. Admittedly, I got several new palettes for Christmas (PML Motherships & ND Glam, retro glam and pastel) and I have been focusing on the more expensive ones. But! I also picked up the UD Robin Eisenburg palette. I finally used it today…and I Loved the look I came up with! I was looking for a more neutral with a pop of color look with muted shimmers. This palette nailed that look! Even with the duochrome and cornflower blue on the outer corner…I love it! So approachable and easy to do a colorful look that isn’t in your face. Your articulation of viseart has me interested but I think I’ll pass on the Victoria Beckham items. I haven’t heard hardly any good from these products.

Oooff, Viseart 🤩 I want to buy from them, but everyone I'd pick up it has something I don't need, won't flatter me or not my preference!!! I'm tan with Olive Undertone , I like colors, but now I'm neutral phase. I like brown bronzes & and taupes, but I couldn't find the perfect ones yet 😪 I feel I could buy 2 palette & create my perfect one, then I'd hate the "leftover palette" because it wont make sense & I'd hate to pass it down to someone like that ! I'm in the mindset of stopping myself from buying palettes for certain shades or a "section" of the palette because that is single eyeshadows are made for, duhh ! This is the same reason why I don't have any ND palette(s), too. When I decided to recreate certain colorstory throughout Lethal cosmetics palette designer, I thought to myself : I want to experience the formula of Viseart, not their colors because they're not unique to my collection or to the industry! So I stopped, and I'm still hoping that one day I'll get to try a palette from them ! I'm still eyeing the cool mattes 2 palette & to be honest, I don't have cooler tones in my collection like that, mine leans a bit grey/ashy , and theirs leans a bit neutral & cafè like ! I believe it would flatter my brown skin with olive undertone better , according to the results of my experiments 🤓

I like the flexibility & small size of the newer Edit & Etendu Viseart eyeshadow palettes. They've also really improved their shimmer formula & have some beautiful metallics & duochromes now. The mattes were always great quality. For travel or throwing in your makeup bag for touch-ups they can't be beat. I use the Paris Edit & Rose Edit the most followed by the Praline quad which has become my go-to everyday, quick neutral eye quad.

I think you would love Koh gen do sheer moist loose powder. It sets and leaves the skin semi matte. I love pairing it with dewy/satin finish bases. It’s velvety and amazing.

Could you compare the Viseart palettes or dupe them with Colourpop? I’m really into those little palettes in general because I’m into really small pans but not sure if it’s worth it when Colourpop exists. There used to be a makeup artist brand called CC or something like that with these teeny tiny pans and I loooooved it because I could actually use that up and I liked that I could put as many as I wanted into a palette. I was mostly very happy with my black Friday boxy haul. Since this will be on super clearance at sephora, I will say: check out item beauty. Whoever the real creative director is, WOW. I bought in my element palette for the shimmers (layer them with other shimmers, they are different), but those mattes! The formula is a bit powdery but the color story 😍 the purpley shades are my go to for structuring my eye, I can't believe how much I use this palette.

I also got 2 of those moira blushes but my super dry skin eats them within 15 minutes and they disappear on me. The starshow pots though are my favorite product from my black Friday haul along with the beauty bay palettes.

apparently clionadh shadows fit in some of the viseart pans-not sure if it’s all of them (?) but I keep seeing the cutest byops on IG

Yes! They fit in the large palettes & the mua sized ones (the $80 palettes)! You can actually buy them empty on the viseart site when they're in stock, which isn't often 🙃

I double checked & it's the grande pro palettes & the slim pro palettes that the clionadh fit! I'm not sure about the edits, but maybe someone else will comment. Obviously the Petit fours are too small 🤏

@@blendofdays oooh I might get one of the classic matte palettes next time they’re on sale. even knowing how great the quality is, they were never interesting enough to be worth the money for me, but being able to add in some spicy singles for traveling would be so nice!

Has anyone compared the Moira blushes to the Tower 28 ones directly? Are the formulas the same, or just the packaging?
