Malcoy lots of police are good, just as most people are, but some aren’t. When police do bad things they should feel bad. Lumping all police, all black people, all white people, all ANY people into one prejudged category is wrong and the definition of prejudice. If you don’t want to be prejudged and lumped in as all bad, why do you do it to others? Everyone is responsible for his own actions.
@AZ-nr1id4 жыл бұрын
Malcoy I don’t know where you live, maybe that is true, but I know many that are not bad. And the same applies to civilians, when people see bad things and let others do it and don’t turn them in they are part f the problem too. The riots, people turning a blind eye to destroying businesses, cities, many black owned, are just as bad.
@AZ-nr1id4 жыл бұрын
Malcoy things are changing, people are becoming more accountable, and they should be. People cover up crimes all the time also. We should all be held to the same standard, people don’t get a pass just because they are not police to do terrible things, and police who do them should be punished. My point is that no one should group all police, all people of any color, all people of any religion, into one group to abuse, malign or make excuses for their bad behavior toward them. Just because some get away with it (and they really don’t, God sees it), doesn’t mean all in any group should be treated like crap. It’s wrong in all it’s forms. See each person as an individual, not as their occupation, political party, color or religion and people will start being more respectful.

Yeah but there is a reason why a lot of restaurant workers are doing this now days. There is a reason for all this animosity especially when bad cops (Not all police are bad) are exposed on the news or on the internet. When they are not held accountable for there actions and when regular civilians are charged to the max it creates a sense of an unfair and biased system thats going to lead to scenarios such as this. Where cops get off the hook for abusing people or not upholding there oaths. People don't like it when you pay someone to do a job and they don't do it. Things like this are the result. The thing is it's not really the restaurant workers fault or that of the police. It's actually the systems rules and regulations that allows bad behavior from certain police officers to go unpunished. Until police are held at the same standards like everyone else. Things like this are going to continue to happen.

People like this fired employee are a liability to all businesses who hire her. A database need to be formed for these employees so that employers know the risk of hiring them. If you can't be professional at work, you don't need the job.

Such a system will put more strain on the welfare system since most of the people will be minim wage workers. If someone cannot get a job they'll just request more assistance from the government.

I'd really like to see a moment where the officer gets a chance to speak to the young lady. Maybe help her reconcile with her own issues. Then possibly try to help her get her job back. Would make for a good movie, anyway.

That would be a happy ending.

The only reason someone would be fearing for their life while getting lunch because cops are there are criminals who are either carrying a gun or have a warrant. That lady needs to just get real.

Is there any other profession in the world where every single employee gets maligned because of a few rotten apples? Imagine that eg. all plumbers were insulted and harassed because a couple of plumbers on the other side of the country did some heinous crime.

Female employee in her 20's Yeah I could have told you that part, no doubt working there to pay off her gender studies or social studies degree!

This is the same reason I no longer support Starbucks coffee. 23 years in law enforcement and see this everyday. I only go to places that are cop friendly and trust that they don't spit in my food or drink. Just be nice to everyone please. Cops are people too.

I would have no problem getting arrested by a cop if I actually did something that was against the law. That said I wouldn't want to get "fucked" by the police. That happens when you go to prison.

There quick enough to let the world know when they have been wronged. Not that quick to release video footage of there own bad behaviour when it happens. Major trust issues won’t be fixed for decades.

Heh heh....this is funny. Yeah, this was a screw-up by the idiots at Fox News. If you look closely, you can see that there is a fuzzy area on the receipt in front of the words "The Cops". This is where the Fox News covered up an offensive word, most likely "Fuck". But instead of making it obvious that they covered up an offensive word -- for example, by putting a black bar over it -- they covered it with a soft, fuzzy blur that is the same color as the receipt itself, making it look like nothing was covered up and that there was never a word there at all. That's bad journalism, because it's misleading and confusing to the viewers, who aren't even aware that anything was covered up unless they look closely. Generally, newsworthy events should not be censored at all, but if the reporting organization feels it is necessary to do so, then they should do it openly and make it clear that they have censored it. That is proper journalistic practice. What the Fox News affiliate did failed to meet basic journalistic standards.
