@pikachuthegayatheist62154 жыл бұрын
It's a misdemeanour charge worth $1,000. But she may be a public official elected to office, which means they can't charger her. You have to remember the ports of New York City are run by the governments of the state of New York state, and the state of New Jersey combined through a public organization known as the Port Authority. Thus meaning she is a public official that has been elected, and the only way she could be charged as if she was impeached by the New Jersey legislator, or the New Jersey Board of the New York City Port Authority, meaning she would have to be removed from office before she got charged for the misdemeanour.

@@bornesulinowo391 Normal citizens is called obstructing justice in the US. And the type of obstruction is a misdemeanor, whoever some types of obstruction of justice as can be seen as felonies particularly if it involves obstructing a court case ( misdemeanors are lesser crimes, and felonies are higher crimes ). But in both cases since this involves an elected official the official has to be impeached, because the US Constitution prevents elected officials from being arrested while they are serving, So you would need an elected board to impeach the president of the port authority, or you would need the New Jersey legislator to do so, or the federal Congress to do so. Then these issues would be brought to the justice system to rather the penalty for the misdemeanor be served as time, but to be honest with you even with dealing with Karen it isn't worth the time, or the tax dollars to do all this mess to only to impeach Karen and have her get a misdemeanor that she will only serve time for 1 day over. I understand that you might think that they SHOULD, but is there a legal basis for your end of this? If this were the case, anyone could just walk up, insert themselves into the situation and we would be required to explain everything to an uninvolved person. Say you were pulled over for something, and some random person walked up to the officer and asked why you were being stopped and to explain why you were being ticketed and what for. What if it was something embarrassing? Also, it's a citation for breaking the law, it is not a part of the public record until said case has been put on a court docket or officially adjudicated.

Love the officer for thwarting her plan. She is asking because once she hears the reason, she will start arguing with the reason and the officer stopped her BS before it even started and she just cannot stand the fact that she will not be able to take advantage of her position, or the Yale, MIT name dropping or her sense of entitlement. The only thing the officer did wrong was not arresting her, she was clearly belligerent, physically close and insulting. I would have arrested her. If a judge disagrees, oh well. That would (maybe) teach her a lesson about abusing one’s office. And would you be surprised if her kid turns out to be an entitled brat. She did not even ask her what had happened, went straight to the officer for the sole purpose of getting preferential treatment. And the constant “you cannot put a sentence together” line to two seemingly articulate young guys just doing their jobs. The contempt spewing from her mouth just because she did not get her way. And then they wonder why this society is so fed up with the elite.

She had No business being involved none what so ever !!! Her daughter was in the back seat , she lucky The PD didn't arrest her for interfering with a Police stop !!! Just because she is a Commissioner doesn't give her ANY rights on a Police stop / if that was you or I we probably would have been arrested !!! I just don't understand that she thinks she above The law because she WAS Commissioner now she's Unemployed because didn't know when to shut up and walk away all over a Registration ticket on a car !!!

She is a complete embarrassment to her position and family, She should never be employed in any position of authority, Hopefully her daughter didn't inherit her vile narcissist personality! The Officers did an exemplary job here! I just read this Bullies statement, It's definitely not an appropriate apology, it is however another example of her narcissistic personality.
