I am watching from the UK, I like Yibo. He excels in everything he does, but his dancing in the finals is not really showing his dancing skills, it came to a point where you will think he is a newbie dancer. If Simon Cowell was to judge his dancing, he will point out that some steps shouldn't be done because it clearly shows it's not his forte and style. Live shows are no room for error as much as possible, Yibo is dancing for so many years but the steps he shouldn't had done made him looked like a newbie and dancing in the wrong tune, they said he is dance in the wrong rhythm is right because the dance steps looks like if it's singing, it's out of sync. Thanks to his choreographer.

He is a newbie dancer for breaking. It was well known bc it was said throughout the season. He also wasn't competing on the show as a dancer so a Simon Cowell would have no reason to judge or critique. On SDC, over the years, captains with less experience in dancing were able to perform without ppl setting a certain standard. But for Yibo you say he's not allowed to perform something he's not more advanced in...sounds unfair.

Very well said. You can really see the difference in the way he dances with the steps he is familiar with and the uncertain and awkward way he dances in the steps he isn't good at. And I hope one day, with practice and more experiences in this steps, Yibo will one day come stronger.

I'm not a professional. I am a new fan. I do agree that in comparison to his past performance, it actually seemed like he lack practice or has a problem with it. I am not saying he lack practice for this particular performance, I am sure he practice and did his best. I am saying because of his busy schedule, plus he possibly had a lot of injuries during filming(watch BTS of his recent movies and some were yet to release). His body condition might not allowed him to perform as he used to, he already had mentioned how his whole body hurts way before this. Plus, although I am not a professional dancer but I do know that even with muscle memories... you need to practice frequently to maintain your skills. He doesn't have that time. He also mentioned that he kinda lose his interest in dancing until he was given a chance to learn breaking again(he started from it) during filming for his new movie. From the whole show, what I get in comparison to his previous performance is that he no longer need to show off what he can do compared to the younger him because today he is not the Wang Yibo that hungers for recognition from the others. It was him dancing for the sake of dancing, not competing.

I am a die hard Wang Yibo fan, I believe he is a great dancer but honestly, it is very awkward to watch him dance on SDC5 finale, they shouldn't let him use steps that is unfamiliar to him, he has a lots of strength dance steps. However good dancer he is which I believe he is, he is not as flexible as other dancers are, he has some strengths and weaknesses steps like others are, and to let him dance live with his weakness makes it very awkward to watch. Others are saying he tried his best, out of his comfort zone and should credit to that, I do. But that can happen behind the scenes, he can practice his weaknesses behind the scenes but not put him in live shows.

I agree. Wang Yibo can do better than what they let him do in the finals. It's live show, experimenting is done in practice. It's not wrong to try different styles or steps in dancing, that's why their is a practice and to call someone a choreographer and can't see between smooth dance act to an awkward one is not a choreographer. Yibo had shown, he can dance so well with any steps that suitable for his abilities, but any dancer has one or two steps they can't do.

I totally disagree with the comments here. I think Yibo did great for a beginner and I didn't find it awkward at all to watch. Many b-boy's also praised him for his performance. Telling him to hide bc it makes you feel uncomfortable bc he didn't perform up to your expectations is wrong. And that's not Yibo. Yibo will do what he wants and is interested at the time. He will give it his best and doesn't care if you like it or not. This is what I love about him. He's passionate about things for himself and not pandering to others.
