Some things are obviously insecure for example some guys are so paranoid that they don’t want their wife to be friends with WOMEN or men because she might cheat or they want her at home at all times. I’d say for me that’s going way too far no matter the circumstance. On the other hand not wanting your wife or serious gf to regularly spend alone time or hangout in group settings with single men would be a standard imo. Same thing goes for regular texting or calling single men outside of a work related context or occasional, platonic small talk. If we are a causal thing, you can do whatever you want, you owe me nothing whatsoever. If we are serious and Ive taken responsibility for your bills, kids, and everything else that comes with a real relationship, I should be able to ask some very simple things in return.
