Do you buy chekhshoukha bread? Actually I've never heard about People buying it
@narimirane49962 жыл бұрын
What?! I mean more people are buying it lately I guess but this doesn't mean everyone does, most people I know make these themselves and the only ones who buy them are like the new generations who didn't learn how to make them yet or the ones who do not have the time, and there is in every family I know at least one person who masters making it so everyone depends on them when it comes to chakhchoukha or rogag. In the end Algeria is just too big of a country so maybe this dish is not that famous in your area and that's why people tend to buy it I guess..

As an Algerian, I really appreciate your interest in our cuisine and your dedication to making Algerian dishes despite the difficulty of some of them. Shakhshokha needs a very thin type of flatbread. I'd actually call it dough paper because the dough must be thin. Once spread out, the dough must be cooked on a big flat pan called Tawa. It must be spread and stretched to get the optimal thin translucent texture. If you wanna retry it, I suggest you get a large crepe pan, knead your dough well, use vegetable oil to spread the dough balls and stretch the dough thoroughly. This way, you'll get the ultimate Shakhshoukha texture. Bonne appétit

It's the local traditional dish made by chaouia original people of east Algeria in north Africa from Berber origins. It was made in all the villages in the war ages when women used to cook it and take it to the worries in the mountains because they wanted freedom as all my grandparents did . Shakhshoukha is so yummy, so are the other Algerian dishes, no wonder we 🇩🇿 won the best Arab cuisine 😌 enjoy ♡ Also, chakchouka (ch is pronounced like in the word check) means mix which makes sense because of the mix of veggies.
