I was raised Catholic, but I am never been that much interested in the dogma. As a kid, the only things that made sens in my mind about it was the words of Jesus and his wisdoms. I could understand them, they helped me to behave towards people and were useful all my life. As I have new interest in the scriptures, I feel drawn towards Orthodoxy. Thanks to Jay!

He can't even answer simple question when she asked about end times. Israel is the key player and psalms 90:10 is related to Israel and he talks about demonic orthodox doctrine which goes against israel. He doesn't even know what gospel is

Hi Jay, I have only recently come across you via a chat you did with Shaun Attwood. This conversation is very interesting as I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, and I have cone to some of the same conclusions that you’ve explained as Orthodox on Daniel 9:24-27, that this speaks of Christ's removal of the animal sacrifices. In fact, the ESV brings this out very well because it reads the same as the Septuagint version of these verses. I refuse the labels of the modern Christian belief in the west. In fact, I don't even call myself a Christian anymore. I also, refuse to accept this 7 year Tribulation teaching, particularly the belief in a pre-tribulation rapture. And, the whole idea of the dispensational teaching is, I think, one of the biggest lies that the Western Church has accepted. To me, it just speaks of Darwinistic Evolution applied to the Biblical timeline. Thank you again. Blessings Jeff 🙌

Jewish turned Catholic theologian Roy Schoeman argues for a third temple as well, among other insights, in "Salvation is from the Jews: The Role of Judaism in Salvation History from Abraham to the Second Coming." This is especially intriguing given the RCC's implicit amillennialism, and I believe Schoeman is going against the grain in Catholic tradition, but perhaps not Orthodox.

I'm non denominational Christian (probably will always be for obvious reasons) but I'm curious as to why orthodox dont use the kjv from my understanding and what bible do you use?

It's not "obvious" to remain non-denominational. I was one for years before I discovered Orthodoxy. It is America's "best kept secret". It is fundamentallly different from 19th and 20th century american evangelicalism. The Orthodox Church does not have an "official" translation, though many do use the KJV and NKJV. Focusing on what english translation to use is mostly a protestant issue. You'll have to find out why it is not a serious issue in Orthodoxy. Learn about Orthodoxy. Attend a Divine Liturgy at an Orthodox Church on Sunday morning.

I use primarily the KJV and NKJV, with the Orthodox Study Bible as my regular Scriptures (it has great study notes too). As far as making sure I get proper understanding of what I am reading, here are a few things: 1. Obviously pray first before reading. 2. I try to cross-examine and apply the various commentaries that the Church Fathers have gifted us with. 3. I go to my priest for further clarification and understanding. 4. I get even further guidance from my Bishop on very deep sections (and maybe even “simple” sections too). All in all, I’d definitely visit a parish and see the Divine Liturgy, then go and speak with a priest. One of their jobs is to sit down with you and go over these good questions. I hope you a have fruitful journey!

Daniel 9 - 24 > ,,, mentions 70 weeks ,,, so not sure where your getting 7 years from ... and it is largely to do with eden,, where the 'originals' ( 144k) are to return ,,, tho of course christ is paramount in that eventuality. I am not sure how you regard eden in the vid ,,, whether or not you know it to be not of this land or not ?
