The Forest of Stolen Girls sounds intriguing. I've never read anything set in historical Korea. The End of Men sounds really interesting too. The Ones We're Meant to Find sounds great too. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the ones you choose to read! 🖤

For a fantasy with a setting pulled from medieval Korea, I would recommend The Empire Trilogy by Raymond Feist and Janny Wurts. It's not own voices but it is one of my favorite trilogies of all time. It is part of Feist's Riftwar series but can be read separately.

@@BedtimeBookworm I think he also wrote some fantasy, which is pretty cool when an author can write both sci-fi and fantasy.

Great collection of books. A Memory Called Empire & A Desolation Called Peace by Arkady Martine both seem very interesting. I have heard your thoughts on the first one, but am still interested. I now own Fireborne, so getting FlameFall seems like a done deal. Don't know when I'll get to it. May wait till I can get this one, too. I have the other book by June Hur, The Silence of Bones, but have not read it, either. I put in for being one of the first to read The Forest of Stolen Girls from our library. She liked my Tweet the other day when I said I was excited to read this book. That was sort of cool. Wow, what a horrific title for a book, The End of Men. Sounds nightmarish for some of us, but heaven for the OTHER half. Not sure about this one. We are in the same boat with Martha Wells. We both have read all the novellas, but have yet to read her full length novel, Network Effect (own it, but haven't started it, yet)...but Fugitive Telemetry is very HIGH in my anticipatory pile. That's all for me...at this time.

I didn’t realize John Gwynne’s new book was unrelated to The Faithful and the Fallen series! I too, haven’t started Malice and now I’m not sure what to start with...
@BedtimeBookworm3 жыл бұрын
Yeah I’m pretty sure it’s unrelated!! I’m sure either place is a fine place to start. After you read the new one you’ll have to go back to Malice anyways since the sequel won’t be out for awhile lol
