Definitely check out Barbuda! When I went on the boat it was shortly after the major hurricane. Nothing was left but the beaches I saw there were some of the best I've ever seen. One of the boat motors died on the way back n n took forever to get back but that trip along w the Monteserat day trip were done of my best excursions ever

I just found this .. going for 25th.. did you exchange money there.? How is parking at the beaches? Thank you

You’ll love it! We did not exchange money, we just used USD. Most of the parking is easy, the only one we had trouble with was Dickenson bay. Most of it is just pull over to the side of the road.

We only did one food tour, which had 6 stops during it. The name of it was “Eat n Lime Food tours”. Sorry for the lack of information on it. We have a video we will be doing on it, just haven’t gotten to it yet. Hopefully soon ! Thanks for watching our video !

Yes. it absolutely IS expensive here. You have to have a really good job to say living here is "manageable". We just came back from the US, and as an example, the Tropicana OJ you buy stateside for US4.99 you will be buying here for US32.00. The Big box of Kellogg's Raisin Bran you buy for US3.99, you will be buying here for US11.00. Rent is another factor, since the American (Medical) University of Antigua opened it's doors here, students must be taken advantage of, and thus most list their rent in extortionate US dollars as if you're in the middle of downtown Manhattan and this is a 24/7 metropolis, which it isn't.

Thank you for your comment and input ! We can’t speak to whether or not we think it’s expensive to live there as we have only visited. And those are great points about the American products being more expensive. We do find that to be the case on most islands we visit as they generally have to import those products, and tariffs and taxes cause those prices to go up. But while we are there we try our best to avoid the foods we are normally accustomed to in the states as they tend to be more expensive. But we feel if you want to do without those amenities and eat local products it will be cheaper than buying imported products. As far as rent goes, we have no idea. But we did chat with some people who were selling one of their condos at the Airbnb condos we were staying at and he was selling it for roughly $250k usd, which is 1/3 of the price of a similar condo where we live in the states It’s all relative to the person and their financial situation to know if it’s cheap or not. Thanks for your comment and input !
