The official film from the 2017 "Return to Antikythera" expedition: amongst the new findings, a bronze statue arm and an unidentified object with a figure revealed by X-rays. Many more to come in 2018...

Your expedition is now a world legend of sorts... Your finds have changed the entire perception of what the ancient world was. And undeniable by that one find, that device,a computer...It's a computer. A cosmic computer based on the universe around us,I'm still trying to process that.... I can't describe but I know it's the same feeling you had when it was realized what had been found. I have had these emotions every time you've found something, you know what that is,lol... I would consider your expedition one of the single most important ones to occur in history. And I as a modern human thank you for every moment of your efforts, for the fantastic truths revealed.

My godfather, Andreos Chrisos was a Greek sponge fisherman in his youth.......he managed to get his family out of Greece in WWII on a Greek freighter and then brought them to Vancouver, Canada in late 1944. He then stood up for me as my godfather after I was born in Vancouver in late 1945, after my father, then in the RCAF, brought his wee Scots bride there.......!

Great video and story. That had to be a great experience. BTW - what was the music that was used for the first 6 minutes or so?

Would rather hear natural sounds and voices than the background music. The finds are amazing.

I need to re re view this story several more times. I get tired and forget how much is forgotten. It is the same story retold over and over. And it is difficult to see all of the story line completely and my knowledge is dim in some areas.

Do you think you've found a removable protective metal cover for the face of the Antikythera mechanism? A sacrificial bull depicted on it, a symbol of Apollo?

More analysis is needed here. Special X-ray as well as isotopic analysis of the metals. For the moment, it could be anything, from a cover to a furniture decoration, or something else. But it is beautiful!

how do they know that it was a shipwreck. have they found any nails or wood that indicate it was from a ship? all this stuff could also be in a storage building on land when the sea level was lower. if it was a ship, there must be good proof of the ship itself, and as i see nothing of that in the video, how do we know its from a ship?

dumbcreaknuller because at a (1900s) rate of 1.2mm rise per year, the sea wouldn't have risen but two metres since the carbon dating on these objects. Instead, the wreck is 180 feet below water, or roughly 60 metres. Too deep for it to have been land in the last few thousand millenia.

I witnessed a lot of things this past week, well before then I did see a lot of stuff also. When I look at this story ( I will have to review it again later) it is one of the few things that make sense and the only One that has resonated with me. Am I actually witnessing what I believe I see here because usually nothing is set in stone nowadays. I have been concerned with things I have seen lately. Also appears that your team may not yet be fully complete ( I am wondering). It is a bit difficult for me so far with it all but that being said. Reading from right to left as I look at it here near the end, is the first Man in the front row One of the People?
