As an APS patient it does my heart good to see doctors with the desire to learn more about this condition and to find these conditions. I am one of 22 people in my family to have suffered from PEs due to clotting disorders and the things I keep seeing in all of these videos rings so true.

It took me YEARS to get my loved one diagnosed. She had so many MAJOR and visible symptoms. Don't let your Doctors ignore you. It was about 5 drs later that I found a nephrologist who knew the name of the correct syndrome and knew the correct blood Dr who also could confidently diagnose her. Thank you to all the professionals who are speaking about this. A) I hope it's not because it's becoming more prevalent. B) I hope we don't find out that vaccines are a major contributor to this syndrome or other autoimmune conditions...especially right now.

Thanks for the information. 1 year ago i found out i got APS and diabetes 1 in the same month ,both my legs i got clots and left i lost 1 toe. 72 hours of thrombolysis removed one big cloth 8 cm i take about 5/6 Acenocoumarol a day depending on my INR. (35 year old)

So good and relaxed to see just a detailed explanation. Thank you so much. My mother is undergoing the diagnosis and mostly expected to be APS. But she is just undergoing menopause. Does menopause has anything to do with ApS !?

hormonal aspects can play a part - Importantly, autoimmune disease and menopause may have an additive effect on risk for common comorbidities such as cardiovascular disease and osteoporosis. While deleterious effects of menopause on cardiovascular, genitourinary, skeletal, and central nervous systems due to deficiency of gonadal hormones can contribute to morbidity in autoimmune diseases, autoimmune diseases as well as their treatment per se can accelerate or predate development of menopause. My wife RHD valve leakage and Neurology epllipcy diagnsis aps cardiolipin. Anti body. Asitrom taken 3 to 4mg levipil 250 pentite enam lasix that correct treatment.

I got my diagnosis for Aps syndrome today. Had a tia and a small stroke in oct ‘22 at 37 years old. First I was on trombyl now I’m starting xarelto. Do you know if there are any other options for medication? Except warfarin. Thanx for great info!

There are other options and these are best discussed with the rheumatologist or haematologist depending on the specific criteria etc. wish you well and glad this was picked up

I'm waiting on my official diagnosis but I was recently hospitalized with extensive DVT in my right leg, PE in both lungs, and triple positive for APS about two weeks ago. I am currently taking 110mg of Lovenox 2x a day while onboarding warfarin (seems as though 5-10mg per day keeps me between 2-3 inr). Can I ask why you don't want to take Warfarin? I'm also trying to find the best treatment, even if that means staying on injections.
