My goodness, what a transformation!! From what you started with, to the end result, was truly remarkable!! Your love of restoring furniture clearly shows in this piece. Besides looking beautiful, I want to also comment on how much care you had taken to create a clean look. Only a few flippers take the time to tape off the back, or inside the cabinet, to avoid overspray. Much respect for that. Well done!

That was a hot mess to begin with I'm amazed at the turn out! Awesome job I hope your friend appreciates it! I had that same whole bedroom set with vanity, bed tables that dresser tall dresser and the bed was real open springs and also had a wash basin stand It is the biggest mistake ever getting rid of it. Gotta say, sweetheart, this was a project that most of us would have just thrown up our hands and walked away from. You're a doll for having done this for your friend. I certainly hope she appreciates all you went through to do this project for her. One question. Did you test this dinosaur for lead paint? Sure looked like it could have been the real thing. Hope you didn't get exposed since you were working without gloves and bare feet. I see you were wearing a respirator - thank goodness. Just concerned for your safety. And on a different topic altogether, did you ever determine what kind of wood the serpentine drawers were faced with? Not talking about the veneer - just the base wood. I have to say, I am completely impressed with your work here. I think you used every skill a good flipper wants to be able to learn and use. Great job.

Thank you so much my friend loved it! Yes I did test for lead and it was negative. The top couple layers were latex paint and the older bottom ones were most likely milk paint. My best guess on the wood is oak which ended up looking so much better than the veneer would’ve!

Beautifully reinvigorated. Great matching on the hardware. I love the combination of painted frame and wood. The grain with its present treatment us probably a lot more interesting than the veneer was when new. Personally, I would have chosen a warmer neutral for the paint colour - creamy palest yellow, as I've found grey is a depressing colour for me to live with. Looks very elegant here though.
