Antique Hand Cranked Grinder - Restoration

Hi everyone
After a series of videos of the restoration of the self-propelled mower, the time has come to restore this Antique Hand Cranked Grinder. If you haven't watched this series, the link to the entire paylist will be below.
I bought this grinder as well as most of the things I restore at the flea market. It only cost me $ 4. There are a lot of flea markets in my state, so I have a lot of things to restore.
This hand grinder was not in such bad shape. It was correct and functional but it certainly needed maintenance and restoration.
I think I did a good job and it is much better now, it is much nicer and more functional.

Good job, came out nice. I just finished my Flott hand crank grinder last week, but left it bare metal. Looks very similar to your color choice. I did some lathe-work to it, so the new siliconecarbide stone runs true as an arrow. As a grease i use Mannol 8107 heavy industrial MoS2 grease, nothing better out there. Best regards from Germany.

Very nice project! I have never seen one before. The color came out great. When you do the cold bluing is it for color or does it help prevent rust?🇺🇸👍Roger

Thanks my friend, I'm glad you like it. I also really liked the color, I will definitely use it in other projects. Cold bluing ..... its function is both, it gives a fine color that is much harder to remove from the classic paint, and the second protects against corrosion and rust.
