Bravo for your work. You have no problem with the fuel pump? I have an engine like this and I can't get fuel into the carburetor. I have an air leak somewhere that I can't find. 😒
@fastfixks
@fastfixks 15 күн бұрын
The most common solutions to your problem are: hard hoses, so they can burst (replace new fuses for the same hoses), fuel pump - your rubber part is not working because it does not inject fuel as it should (change only the rubber part ), the carburetor is clogged (clean it or, in extreme cases, replace it with a new one). I will leave the link on how to clean the carburetor below, so see how I did it in a simple way. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nZzToHh4brt9hMk I would add something else only, if your gasoline is old or has been sitting for a long time in a canister or in the tank itself....you must drain all the gasoline from the entire system and buy a new one and pour it in. Someone leaves it standing in the tank all winter and later, of course, cannot start the lawnmower because of the old gasoline that loses its properties over the winter. Thanks for watching and commenting.

What would you suggest for a cracked but not broken through particle board? The laminate on one side is cracked but the other side is not. It is a sewing cutting table wing.

Hi, Excellent video! 📍I’ve read several articles regarding “SURFACE PREPARATION” of the part to be Nickel plated. After cleaning part an Acid solution is used for 30-60 seconds to prep the Brass part. Thoughts? Great video, thank you! Lee

Nice restoration! But all that cleaning and you preheated(obviously not long enough, hence no blue flames) with gasoline and sooted it up badly. I recommend using alcohol to prime if you like to keep things soot free. But you have to prime longer. Also, I find that I get a quicker prime by injecting the alcohol into the burner bell between the bell and the impingement plate. The bell has drain holes in it to allow the priming fuel to drain into the pan below, but some remains in the bell for a more thorough preheat. Regardless, if the flame is yellow like that, you need to stop and prime it some more. Hope this helps.

congratulations very nice video. I would like to ask you which mixture is better, with salt or soda. and what are the proportions with soda? thanks
@fastfixks
@fastfixks 3 ай бұрын
I would recommend you to make a mixture with salt, it is a little cleaner and almost no sediment remains when the mixture is left in the bottles for a long period. Although, the effect is pretty much the same, there isn't really any big difference. I would also recommend that you use protective equipment, a protective respiratory mask, protective gloves and goggles. If possible, work in a ventilated room.

It is possible that you are right, I wouldn't know exactly what to say. It is definitely recommended to use protective equipment. I just showed that the desired goal can be reached in that way. Thanks for the comment and note.
@meyou7755
@meyou7755 11 күн бұрын
No, bleach plus ammonia equals chlorine gas. The reason salt is used is to increase the solution's conductivity. If you test it with a micrometer you'll see amazing results. Don't live in fear, just know your chemistry bud. Wear gloves and respirator and you'll be fine even with the hydrochloric method

Hey there,in the beginning of the video,U mentioned parts were missing on top of the carburetor but @ the end we didn’t see the parts replace! Are these Parts critical for the mower to operate correctly????
@fastfixks
@fastfixks 3 ай бұрын
Hello Nothing crucial is missing. It's the throttle cable, the throttle cable stiffener, the cover and some screws that hold those parts in place. Below I will post a playlist and in the last video you can see that I just connected the gas cable, which was not even there when I started to restore this mower. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nZzToHh4brt9hMk&pp=gAQBiAQB

My pleasure, I hope the video was useful. It works much longer on lithium batteries than on ordinary lead batteries. In my case, it is 24V, but also the 12V option can be boosted with amps so that the battery lasts longer.

Hi! Will you put links to what you bought or at least type in what you used? I did see the parquet repair kit. But what about the sanding block and type it was? Also you used a spray what was the spray? Thank you.
@fastfixks
@fastfixks 4 ай бұрын
Hi. First, let me thank you for your interest in my video and my work. The easiest way to explain is to write here what I used. At 3:40 I used wood glue, nothing expensive or fancy, just regular wood glue. At 5:00 I used wood dust that I saved from previous projects. (The color of wood dust naturally depends on the color of the wood itself. I used a darker color because it is similar to the color of this table). I mixed it with the same wood glue and got a homogeneous and thick mass, so that it can glue the parts and fill the gaps. At 6:30, as I wrote in the video itself, it's a parquet and laminate repair kit. You understand that. - Your question: But what about the sanding block and type it was? It is an integral part that comes in the repair kit. At 6:35, in the middle of the box, between the repair compound and the machine, there are two plastic plates. They are almost colorless so it is hard to see them there. These are plastics that are jagged, rough, so they can remove excess mass. Similar to a standard metal file, only plastic. At 8:15, it's a clear lacquer spray, it's used as a final coat after applying any color and it gives a shine at the end, in this case it evens out the color with the rest of the table and covers small scratches. I hope that I have explained everything and that it is now clearer to you. If you need anything else, just write. Thanks for watching and commenting.

So Sir??? Was that wood glue mixed with Wood Dust? There were no details
@fastfixks
@fastfixks 6 ай бұрын
Yes, you are right. It is wood glue mixed with wood dust. If there is a larger gap, in the form of a hole, then it is best to combine it that way, because the glue would leak out if you put it alone. And the second reason that is combined is that the glue acquires the color of wood dust and thus less holes are noticed.

How to polish before galvanization? Just to clean well?
@fastfixks
@fastfixks 6 ай бұрын
It depends on the condition of the material and the possibility of cleaning it as well as possible and polishing it if possible. If the metal is cleaned well and if there is a possibility to polish it, it will be a perfect result in the end. If there is no possibility of polishing, then galvanization will be more of a protective character than a beautiful appearance

You did an outstanding job sir! Very well done. Perhaps for another video is to create a metal that slides the same distance from the bottom of the legs. You could add some metal strapping, even some rebar and tack it in place. Remove that support system and finish welding it, paint it, cold blue it and space it height wise and run some screws in. Just my 2¢ worth. If you prefer it as is, you’re gold. You have to be happy with it. Take care and Merry Christmas.🎄

Surely your way is much better in the sense that the repair would take much longer. But here I was looking more to return as much as possible to the original state. I didn't want to spoil the look in any way. If it fails again, then I will do something similar to what you suggested. Thank you for your advice and for watching. Greetings.
