Antique Irish Jaunting Car Lamps, The Luminary Shoppe

Pairing appropriate lamps with an antique vehicle is a common concern with many carriage owners. Tradition, quality, design, size and finish are all factors to be considered. The lamps should enhance the appearance of the vehicle while not becoming the focal point nor becoming overwhelmed by the vehicle. These along with the personal tase of the carriage owner all go into making that decision. It was when I realized why elevators are called "cars" that I realized that "car" actually means "carriage", as in horseless, train, and elevator. Today we think of "horseless" carriages as simply "automobiles".

The Flitz polish leaves a very thin film that helps. Occasionally iI use a carnauba wax.
