Yea I know. That big store was crazy. There really was not anything overpriced either. And the stuff that was kinda HIGH....Had O.B.O on the tags. So you can make some deals if you have cash in a place like that. I asked the woman. They get marbles there often as well. They were just sold out

Very cool. I will give that guy all kinds of bottles. That makes carrying them out of the woods worth it. Even giving them to Doug is good. That place needs to stay open. I think people should probably support places like that verses the Good Will. Dough could sell anything the good will could. If he gets enough stuff. He can fix up that building his shop is in. It is right in the middle of town. It would make the entire town BETTER.

@rockscousteau3 ай бұрын
The only place i like to buy them really is at Dougs. I shouldnt be buying any bottles at all. I even give most of the ones away I buy to doug. I just do it for the video. I would much rather just dig the stuff for free. The only place that has good deals is usually Dougs store and that Riverview Antiques in the back room. All the bottles back there are priced at half what they would sell for on the internet or less. And the dealer is a life long bottle collector. So they have good stuff there. But it is usually picked over. I have gone a few times when the woman stocked the shelves there like 2 hours prior and I bought 200 bucks worth of stuff. But it is not like that alot. Most place want 20 dollars for a $2 bottle. I dont even film the stuff if the prices are to high. And there are lots of places like that around here.
@rockscousteau3 ай бұрын
I dont even really consider myself a bottle digger. I am just on those places for the marbles and toys and just happen to find bottles too. What is NUTS is this. If I go dig a nice bottle in the dump....and only bottles. The video will make like $8 per 1000 views. But if I go to an antique store and BUY the same bottle in a video and film a few other things. The video makes $20 per 1000 views. That is NUTS.

Well....there are many places here that are just the same. I just go to the places I know the prices are GOOD. I do go on stores that a Milk bottle that is worth $8 at best is priced at $40. And you know....just a rip off place. I wont film those places and recommend them to people watching. The places I go....there is a chance for a deal. I kinda have to spend my money wisely. All the items I buy now to show in uploads. I will sell in online auctions on places like ebay. 20 years from now.
@rockscousteau4 ай бұрын
Even in that second place. It all comes down to the vendor. But I really did not see anything "Out of Line". Even some of those toys prices at High Prices. All the Tags said "OBO" "Or best Offer". A fraction of the sticker price and a phone call could have worked a deal on all that stuff. I may go back and buy that Fanner 50 Cap gun if they come down a little

I am not sure. I gave that guy like $5000.00 worth of dug bottles at Christmas. And he has sold a bunch of it. So he just gave that to me. He has a stack of them from what he told me...like 2 feet thick. So there will be MANY more. Id just go in or call and ask about them. It is one of those situations you could go into the store...and work a DEAL on like 10 for one price. I bet there are some nice ones in the stack. If stuff like this is framed "Nice" with those town names on the bags. You can make some money on stuff like this.
