Someone else's years of collecting and thrifting suddenly appeared on our doorstep, in the form of boxes of Antiques & Vintage packed in a hurry by a senior organizer over the holidays. We've never seen this stuff...what did she pick for us to sell at our upcoming Venice, Florida antique show?

The iconic siamese cat became hugely popular as a "knick knack" after Disney released Lady and the Tramp which featured two mischievous siamese cats in 1955. All of a sudden I remember our dime stores had all sizes and shapes of siamese cats!!

I'm 62 been casually collecting and selling for 30 years. I've never had Roseville and I've always appreciated it. I think it is beautiful. I'm really enjoying this haul. I enjoy almost all of the vintage items.

Hello. I recently bought an antique dresser that had the history of the three generations of families written on a note inside. It had originally come from a family in Ohio then at some point travelled to Florida and was sold when the 92 year woman died and I guess none of her relations were interested in keeping it. I also love Roseville pottery and personally I will buy an item I like even if it is damaged. It’s amusing to watch you crumble up the wrapping paper and throw it to the floor. I can only imagine the mess after an unboxing!

I laughed when I saw you wrapping the Roseville in puppy pads. I use them all the time, but always feel a little embarrassed handing something to a customer wrapped that way. But it is perfect with just enough padding to protect a piece for storage and the trip to its new home. I don’t ship so easier than having a bunch of bubble wrap. Plus pretty cheap:-). Always fun to watch your videos!

Wow remember when we used to actually darn things like stockings? Now nobody wears them - unless you are the Royal Family. Cool little stuff in there, Talking about those little purse mirrors and compacts, I found a pill box one in my mom's jewelry box with sections for 4 different pills. Inside the lid, it said ... PILL BAR .. I laughed and said "How Valley of the Dolls is that?" and my son sad HUH? I guess back in the day, they all carried around their Mother's Little Helpers in their Pill Bars. I saved it - carry it in my purse - empty - just for hoots,

I always tell my friends that going through my items to inventory and photograph for Etsy & Ebay is "like Christmas" because I tend to buy stuff and then put it aside until I have time to do it. I rarely remember what I bought. I've started to do unboxing videos also. No following yet, but maybe someday.

Always love a bit of patina on solid brass. I also thought it was funny when you said “I’m glad they sent me the contents of the dresser to pick through” I’d never know what’s worth more than something else. George, that wooden skier may have been made in Italy. I believe the brand was Romer and there was a sticker saying Italy. we have a few in other sports and occupations. They were pretty valuable.

I love that set of canisters except I actually want one that is Jadeite. I thought that small stove was for the doll house. Yes, I make doll houses and always looking for great new ideas to furnish them with, not too fond of the plastic though. Some great stuff there. Have a great day

The Aladdin Lamp is most likely a Cigar Lamp or lighter, worth more as a Cigar Lamp than a novelty item.

Your right, the Siamese kittens/cats where popular late 60s - early 70s. I know my Grandmother had at least 4 of them. I liked the 1- wall climber & the 1- that hung on the fish bowl edge. Question: Do they make replacement stoppers for the shakers, banks, etc ?? PS. Ginger was a model, so I'm sure she had plenty of Nips & Tucks done to Preserve her looks, even at her age ! lol

What do you know about Old ink pencil set gold color with stones crystals in the raised decorations they are about 2-3 inches.. I have many nice items..Nanny gave me the Yellow gold trim Aladin tea pot and Old mirrored dresser dipped in center a draw on each side. The mirror is discolored.
