This just reminds me how much I've always wanted a dyno. So much fun.

I know! I keep an eye on FB marketplace for m&w or Dyno. I see one every now and then... But they are in Arkansas or they are missing parts (but still $$$). For a short while I thought: It's just a hydraulic pump and some valves... I could build one. But that idea died out. There are a couple of guys out here who have them and I've told them if they ever decide to sell, I want to be first in line. 😅

That is really cool, that WD9 ,had very tall tires on the rear.,too big for the fenders I guess. Back in the 60s we had a couple different WD9s. One had a winter canvas front. Which helps some farming in the cold. 😊

I ran a couple WD9's as a teenager in the rice fields.......they were on steel! The WD9 in the video was super nice.

I'm not sure if the tires are too big or if he just hasn't finished restoring the fenders. But yes, I think it's a fantastic tractor.

At 6:45 It was interesting to see the John Deere model D on the dyno' , , there aren't a lot of them that have the PTO option on it... The FarmAll M that followed, was running with a Magneto Ignition, it sure was running smooth!
@jonelsonster2 ай бұрын
Yeah, I guess I never really paid attention to how many D's do or do not have a PTO because ours does... So I just assume they all do. But half of the D's at this show didn't have one. One guy made up an adapter that bolts directly to the clutch pulley. But it's hard to use since this Dyno is made to attach to run at 540 RPM, which is geared down from the engine.

@@jonelsonster ,, Not a lot of the Ds have a brake pedal either, many were flatlander models and relied on the clutch brake...

Thanks! Today I'm posting a video of these same tractors (plus a few more) pulling. I think it's kinda fun to know the HP of the tractor while they pull.

I love the dyno when a number can be put on the power. Especially on the classic iron. Added bonus is listening to them really snort.

The two I was most surprised by were the D that put out 45 HP and also the Farmall M. They both did really well.

The R that they dyno’d was a little tired. I wonder how many hours were on it.

@@wademills1616 I'm curious why you say it sounded tired. It wasn't down on power at all.
