I know you meant to say Tony Hawk not Ethan Hawke 😉

I have my grandfather’s Union Pacific hard hat. He started working for them in the 1930s and retired in the 1980s. I have no idea it’s vintage but it’s very special to me.

Hi George et. al 😊 I had perhaps 100 jokers 🃏& over used cards from Mom's bridgeplaying friends. We traded cards by categories in the 60s. Fun memory of sitting in grade school hall with lots of rubber banded stacks of interesting cards! We were quite cool 😂 🃏 . Played many games of jacks too! Those were the days, & I think I knew that at the time!

Hi George! Love the skateboard. I never knew the history on them. Makes sense. One little correction though, you mentioned a famous skateboarder, but you said Ethan Hawke, instead of Tony Hawke. Easy to do. No worries. Love all your videos. Char in Alaska. 🙂✌

Good evening, George. I saw the tortoise and hare set on your eBay listings...you're a saved seller 👍 Those are one type of kitsch I can actually appreciate - they actually represent something that can be referenced, from a children's story. That oak skateboard would be a cool item to have. I used to have one of the gas powered aeroplanes when I was younger. No idea what happened to it. I can remember _Dallas_ well...liked _Dynasty_ much better, though. The Abelman Jack-in-the-Pulpit is fantastic! The colours are phenomenal! You have great items listed! All of them should do really well!
@TheAntiqueNomadАй бұрын
Hi there! I am still finding comments of yours I missed somehow. I like the kitsch that connects to childhood things like that too. I wanted a gas powered plane, but I was too young when I thought of it! The Ableman piece was so good, Mike at Well Swung ended up with it in his collection. My roommate liked Dynasty better, I was more of a Dallas fan but they both were such a cultural phenomenon!

Tfs George - I always enjoy learning from you! I was glued to the TV every Fri night to watch DALLAS; I have an unopened JR beer can that didn't sell in any of my yard sales. Lol. Hope you're enjoying Summer. Stay safe! Chris in Springfield OH

Sad that you have to be a patron to comment! What's up with that?
@TheAntiqueNomadАй бұрын
I see your comment, and you don't have to be a patron to leave one! We do have member-only chat on the premieres for the two bonus videos that are made possible by member donations, they take a lot of time to do and those are hours not spent doing other things, so I am grateful for their help

talking about the first 2 for ages then says these are worth $35 what a waste of time !
@TheAntiqueNomad20 күн бұрын
So you think that only things that are expensive are of value to collect, and that's fine. Not everyone has your budget or interests, and people collect many diffferent things. I'm not sure how leaving a comment like this isn't even a greater waste of time, but it's yours to spend as you wish!
