I own an antique shop right down from West End Antiques. We just opened last year. Daniel came to my shop a few times and every time we talked for about an hour. He was always kind and informative. I was just thinking the other day I hadn't seen him in a while. I had no idea he passed. Daniel actually told me he'd been asking you to come to Knoxville, so I'm sure he was really happy you did a video here. Thanks George for all the knowledge you and people like Daniel have shared. As a younger person starting out, it's much appreciated.

He was kind and informative to me and our whole antique community as well! He mentioned there were some good other shops in Knoxville, I'll have to come back to see more. I am so happy I got to do this and share his knowledge while there was time.

@TheAntiqueNomad We would love to have you at our shop if you do come back. There are a lot of shops close together in our area. Knoxville is a great area for picking. My husband and I are nurses by trade, and we've been kindly welcomed by other dealers we've met. I'm glad you got to meet Daniel.

George, what a fine video. The way you walked around with Daniel and talked back-and- forth about the items was so interesting and entertaining. I always learn so much from your videos. Tjs one was exceptional. I thought to myself. I wonder if I could make it to Knoxville in one day from Detroit? There was so much loveliness and fun there in that antique store. And to Daniel Claeys family and friends, my condolences to you all. I never met him but I did enjoy reading his comments on George's videos. His responses were polite and friendly, enthusiastic and infomative. He will be greatly and deeply missed. Most sincerely from The Great Lake State of Michigan 🐢

Good evening, George. I hope you had a great Easter weekend! Were those pearls, in the case at the start, real/cultured or costume? They looked knotted. I really like the classic look of pearls and cameos. That opera lamp was fantastic. I would love to have one of those barrister bookcases! There's a pretty pair of mantle lustres here. I have an old kerosene can I actually use. I keep kerosene in it to refill all of the lamps. Loved that old secretary desk! The $48.00. on the cordial set, seemed on the cheap side. I have a Jeannette shell pink juice set, in the Thumbprint pattern. Loved that Victorian cranberry epergne! Mom's has the "candy canes", with baskets hanging from them. That is horrible about Daniel! Prayers for his family 🙏 Losing a loved one is beyond expression...my recent experience has been devastating...but such a tragic loss is horrid! Thanks for sharing this one, George!
