It's always suspect to me that the main technique of evaluators is to find out how much you paid for it and how long you've had it. It's like a cold reading. They are coming up with a number based on the average increase in value that they can estimate. They should be able to give a value without that little trick. I would trust any figure unless it was how much someone else paid me for it.
