Got a shock with the woman whose relative lived in Syracuse. That's very close to my home town.

How did the people who made the ventriloquist"s dummy foresee Andrew Lloyd Webber so clearly.?

Hypocrite. "You've bought new ivory but you have done nothing wrong." False ! Do you realize why people sell it? Because people buy it. STOP buying it and the market goes away. So both selling and buying are as guilty as sin.

Old ivory shouldn't be tossed though

Lady ivory is not as rare as you may believe. Theres littoral warehouses full of it they cant sell. That elephant had probably died in a elephant death area. Elephants tend to go to one place to die. So the ivory is easily gathered and no elephant harmed. Also tho recently carved. The ivory could easily still be 50 years old. So tone down. Its not like you was brainwashed to believe. Ivory has little value on the open market. So pouching is not cost effective silly.

Sounds like you hot your knowledge from Old Hillywood movies. Elephants do not go zo certain places to die. They return to the bones of s dead relative, though

The myth of the elephants' graveyard is one of the most enduring in natural history. Although large collections of elephant remains in one place seemed to support the idea that elephants go to a specific site to die, that idea has been disproved.
