We should assume they were thrown out many years ago - possibly a few decades even, by this point - well before the vintage collectible market of the past 20 years exploded. And especially with materials originally created for marketing purposes, it would be tough for most people to have considered them valuable beyond their intended purposes. Back then there would have only a small niche market for finding this kind of art within the marketing world. And without the internet as we know it, it would have been almost impossible to find those collectors and buyers on a larger scale.
