Good match. You can’t always be comfortable as a anti-spin and pimples player because not everyone you face is a offensive, inverted player. In a perfect world for LP/anti-spin is that everyone they face uses inverted rubber. This match proves that LP/anti-spin players need to be able to beat their own playing style because they’re not the only ones in the world playing this style, just as much as a inverted rubber player needs adapt, practice and train to beat LP/anti-spin.
@AndreaAschi2 жыл бұрын
100% correct! 👍
@alk672 Жыл бұрын
Nope, they don't need to beat other LP/anti-spin. They just beat inverted players who put in 10x the amount of work, and then if they lose to a couple of weird players - they don't care. That's why people use trash rubber.

pips opponents are the hardest opponents for anti players. Good match Andrea!
@AndreaAschi2 жыл бұрын
Hi Onur!! I think that antispin has an advantage against a LP chopper (if you are able to use antispin aggresively) but not vs a LP close to table player. Unfortunatly i'm too passive with my bh. I need to improve my attacking anti skills.
@Doogeex2 жыл бұрын
@@AndreaAschi I use a quick anti punch shot on my backhand, I notice you don't really attack with anti at all. Your using ABS here with a large sponge I assume? Im currently using SpinLab Vortex with a .7 pink sponge. That gives me good opportunity to attack/punch with my anti.
@rakishman13132 жыл бұрын
@@AndreaAschi with frictionless it s hard to play against long pips as the ability to drive is less than with pips . I would still drive the balls coming from long pips with anti however don’t know if that is a viable option as you are using a much slower and thicker sponge whereas I use .9 mm thus the blade is doing the actual drive than the sponge . I think it s also tough as Lp does neutralize the spin and the ball can go high when blocked with anti as the ball has weird trajectory and no spin most f the time. I am considering playing with LP against opponents that play with LP my track record is very good when I do that as driving and punching through back spin balls and brushing gives more attacking power on both ends . It also could help if you switched your forehand to short pips as you can drive those balls coming from long pips with ease . However it s tough when conducting a spin oriented game as the long pips blocks and slows the game down with more control when smashing is a low probability shot with inverted rubbers on

If you have time, practice the swiping backhand kill stroke that you can do with antispin against dead spin popups. Your opponent left a lot of high balls to your backhand. Your forehand is game is good! But I think you could even be better if you were more aggressive with the antispin (hard pushes to the backhand and swiping motion kills)
@AndreaAschi2 жыл бұрын
100% right, that's why i need to try the new A-B-S 2 PRO. I need to develop an offensive strategy with anti. ;)
@pnachtwey2 жыл бұрын
I agree with Techno. Incoming back spin balls can be returned more aggressively because your ball will have top spin when using anti. Can you twiddle to attack the high balls?

Good match! I thought you won until it was over. You seemed to have better forehand offense but attacked mostly to his pips. What was your strategy and where did you think you had an advantage? Also, you twiddled anti forehand a few times. Was it random, to mix things up, or just when you couldn’t read the spin off his LP?
