Hommage à tous ces joueurs et joueuses au jeu atypique.
Les tordus, les crabes, ceux qu'on regardent de travers dans la salle. Et pourtant ! Quel talent de maitriser un tactique si particulière. A l'heure d'un jeu moderne ultra rapide, ils résistent encore et toujours, gaulois héroiques face à l'hégémonie romaine chinoise pardon.
J'ai donc proposé cette petite compilation absolument subjective et loin d'être exhaustive grace à des images glanées sur le net. Si vous voulez me partager d'autres joueurs, je serais ravi de les découvrir dans les commentaires!
En attendant, bon visionnage et longue vie aux jeux bizarres :)

Tribute to (some of) the best players with long pips rubber.
Their style is often hated but yet so remarkable. My first coach used to play close to the table, turning the racket so quickly, I found it amazing. Since then, I love watching those players and how their opponents are getting crazy :)

Je remarque que dans tous les cas les points se gagne sur une attaque. Le picot n'est utile que si on sait prendre l'initiative quand même.

Tu aurais pu indiquer les années, parce que là on se demande si certaines ne datent pas d'avant 2008 avant les picots lisses ne soient interdits.

Effectivement, c'est intéressant, je n'y avais pas pensé. Mais dans ce montage, la plus ancienne est celle de Akerstrom contre William Henzell à l'entraînement (elle date peut-être d'avant 2008) et d'après la vidéo, il jouait avec Hallmark Original.

I tried to choose players that stay close to the table, Ruwen is a "classic" defender, a brilliant one of course but not the same style ;)

Please no 🙃 Table tennis is such a strategic game, it's part of a game, trying to distrub your opponent by making creative shots, I think it would be sad if everyone was playing attack and counter attack...

Anyone who says this isn't beautiful to watch doesn't know this game at all. Tweedling the sides of the racket in-game requires strategy and great sense of time.

the worst playstyle in the world, if you play long pips please play defense (i lose to this playstyle all the time)

Sorry to disagree but I find it very exciting to search solutions to defeat those players. It's quite difficult for me as well but it is a nice challenge, maybe you'll improve by watching the video 😉

Ooooh why ? It's a good know to create different combinaisons, different styles, different oppositions. I think table tennis would be boring if it was only with strong and fast attacks. And I love watching creative players with unique style !
