Hello I play seemiller grip and was told that antispin rubber is good for one side. Why would I use an antispin as a seemiller player?

What about antispin used on FH in combination with "normal" rubber on BH? Thanks

It is different for different kinds of rubber
@sunjongyun56946 ай бұрын
As a LP player, I don’t like Anti rubber at all cause surface have no grip at all and sponge makes it slow down the spin instead of increasing to make it somewhat advantage. At least with long pips ox, we can give heavy spin by reversal and drop short as blocker and with long pips with sponge, we can spin the ball for chopper
@Sypachevskii6 ай бұрын
You are speaking about no friction antispin. There are antispin rubber with friction exist as well.

@@Sypachevskii If it has friction, then how can it be antispin... It will recieve a spin without deadening the spin.

Antispin should be banned or everyone should play with similar types of rubber

You may go play hardbat or pingpong for "all using same type of rubber" and don't suffer in table tennis from rubber types variety
@inquistive5 ай бұрын
@@Sypachevskii Yes I do play Ping Pong where everyone uses a sandpaper bat and it is good fun My gripe with table tennis is that whilst some variance is ok, having the amount of variance caused by antispin and long pips versus inverted rubber is far too great and something should be done to reduce the amount of disparity.
@Sypachevskii5 ай бұрын
I guess by the disparity you mean the fact that all world and olympic titles are won by players who use inverted rubbers? As many years ago long pips was much more potent, and continuous restrictions made by changing TT rules made long pips less and less potent. While inverted rubbers didn't get any restrictions and become more and more potent due to technology improve. No doubt, it is a disparity that due to rules long pips players cannot really rival at the very top level.

@@SypachevskiiIs this true? ALL title holders and world No 1 guys use anti spin bats? I get so much control with anti spin and everyone notices I play better with cheap bats that have zero tackiness
@esmolol40913 ай бұрын
@@varunkamal91it's more complicated. Antispin is rare nowadays and longs pips also. Short pips are also quite rare in the top level. The reasons are: The ball has changed, rotation is not as important anymore, as it was in the past. (Ball is bigger and heavier = Spin Reduction). This killed Long Pips Defenders at the Toplevel. Now the focus is completely on ball speed. Inverted Rubbers and Short Pips rubbers are factory boosted to the max, chemically and physically. That gives inverted rubbers the upper hand. Ittf had the plan to slow down the game. This actually resulted in a speed increase and the shortest rallies in the history of table tennis, REDUCING the thrill of the game for any viewer. Mostly it's just: Serve, Attack, Point. Or Serve, Return, Attack, Point. Ittf is a bad joke.
