Can I beat a Pokemon Hardcore Nuzlocke challenge in Platinum using only Water types?
Nuzlocke rules:
-Fainted Pokemon must be permanently boxed
-Only the first encounter on any given route may be caught (dupes clause)
-All pokemon must be nicknamed
Hardcore Rules:
-Always Set mode
-No items from the bag option in battle (held items are ok)
-No overleveling the next gym leader

Top Tip for the Sinnoh Games when nuzlocking. If you want a Magikarp fish in Twinleaf Town since you can fish there and you arent sacrificing a route for it when you can get other things later whereas in Twinleaf you are missing out on Goldeen which you can get multiple places

​@fellowruby360 the AI cheats a lot, Emerald being the main example with battle frontier. Platinum while easier, still exhibits AI hax, hitting 1-5 percent odds way too much, and even 0.1 percent on occasion.

Self hit from confusion is the sole reason I Always get a simple bidoof if I ever use one. The ability to get an iron defense out of 1 defense curl is so helpful against confusion, not like there's much sp atk lowering encounters in Gen 4. So it's super safe, only downside really being sand attack (but that's why I usually put shock wave on it)

A love lock would be interesting. Essentially its the same as a nuzlock, but you link two of your pokemon up together. They have to be different genders, so if your starter is male and you find a female starly on the first route they are linked, and if one of them dies they both are considered dead.

Yeah that's basically a Wedlocke, it already exists and is very interesting. Some differences though from what you said in that they don't both die when one does, but rather the two have to fight as a team and the only way to switch teams mid-fight is for both in the team to die. If one survives the battle, they can gain a new partner. And LGBT+ variants of it, where you can use a number generator or the mons nature to determine if the mon likes the same, opposite, any, etc.

Antler, I have an idea to increase the difficulty even more. I know it's not a nuzlock rule but how about a new challange where you are only allowed as many pokemon as the next gym leader? I think this will be fun as it takes even more skill to build the perfect team for each match-up. Of course, if too easy you could add a mono run to it to make it insanely difficult. You could of switch Milotic out at the end to save it and you didnt. I didnt like that bc Bibarel could have attacked to knock her Milotic, you should have did more to save it considering how rare and long you had to take to get it. I like your content and all and enjoy watching it, but I think more more thought could have put in your decisions . Sacking Shellos, just mess up to the Gastrodon line. Im a huge Milotic fan so seeing it faint really hit a nerve for me. But Bibarel could have been utilized in the cynthia battle and it wasn’t. Have to make better choices with that. Cynthia isnt the champion for nothing. Battling Cynthia is a test of decision-making. Hopefully I can see a deathless run bc I know you can do it.
